Bee: Oooo yeaaaa, here we are, the great Island Turtle, YEAAAA
Fukutsu: *Thinking* What’s up with this guy?
Song: Survival Examination
Bee: The test won’t go steady, so ya better be ready. It’s a survival examination yo. You have to collect the two scrolls, and you’ll be on a roll. Each of you will start with one of each other, and you have to get one from your brother. When you have gotten each scroll, you finish at my mansion yo’. No use of deadly forces yo, or else you’re in for a show! Me and my beast will take care of you like meat. Ready set GOOOOO
The genin disperse to their designated entrances. Two jounin are waiting, with their scrolls ready. At promptly 2 o’clock, the Genin start. Once the time is set, the doors open, and the test begins. Team Seven are traveling, preparing a plan.
Fukutsu: Are you two ready?
Patsuta: Of course! What’s the plan?
Fukutsu: I’m thinking the bait and trap plan, like we usually do.
Kameha: But we always do that!
Fukutsu: That’s because it’s what we’re good at. I don’t know if we’ll win any other way.
Kameha: We’re strong enough to take everyone out.
Fukutsu: We don’t even know our competition! How are we supposed to know how strong they are?
Kameha: Hmph, I guess we can go your way…
Patsuta is standing by, trying not to get caught up in between his best friend, and his crush.
Fukutsu: What do you think Patsuta?
Patsuta puts on a fake smile and tries to come up with something...
Patsuta: I don’t know. Both ways sound great. I would prefer the trapping way, as I’m a bit tired…
Kameha shoots him a look.
Fukutsu: Good, then let’s get to it!
Fukutsu, Patsuta and Kameha disperse. Fukutsu and Patsuta find a perfect place for their quicksand trap, while Kameha sets up her kunai trap nearby. They designate Patsuta to be the bait, since he is the fastest. Patsuta moves within a two mile radius around the traps, trying to draw teams near. He stumbles upon a team from the Village Hidden in Hot Water. The team looks at him, and gives chase. We find Naruto at Bee’s mansion, amongst Bee, Ibiki, and Darui.
Naruto: So Ibiki, how did this year’s genin do in your test?
Ibiki: Much better than yours did. I passed about two thirds of the genin. They are an intelligent bunch, I’ll give them that.
Naruto: Good, I was expecting a large amount to pass. There are so many more than past years. It seems the recovery rate for all the villages is outstanding.
Ibiki: Indeed. I recognized your team.
Naruto: How’d they do?
Ibiki: Extremely well. The girl used Morse code to contact the other two, and used wires to help them. It’s something I would do. You sure have a splendid group of genin.
Naruto (looking embarrassed): Hahaha! Yea, I sure do…
Darui: I don’t know about that yet. The exams are not over.
Naruto: True…
A Stone Ninja appears out next to Naruto.
Naruto: So how’re they doing?
Stone Ninja: Good. They set up traps and sent Patsuta in as bait.
Naruto: Using traps again… BAHAHAHA they are a patient bunch. Thank you for your help Saido, if you could continue, that would be great.
Saido: No problem!
Saido leaves, and again follows Team Seven. The other three look strangely at Naruto.
Naruto (In response to their looks): I asked one of the Hidden Stone to track my team and stay invisible using their camouflage jutsu. He’s keeping me up to date.
Ibiki: Ah I see. A lot of perks come with being the hero of the shinobi world.
Naruto: Hahaha, yes it does.
The four continue to converse, while Patsuta is leading the Hidden Water ninja to the trapping area. They have no idea what they are in for.
Patsuta: *Thinking* These seem like good kids to trap. I haven’t seen their headbands, so they must not be that
good.
All of the sudden, a jet of water shoots right past Patsuta. A little drips onto his shirt. It burns right through.
Patsuta (screaming): HOOOOOTTTTTTT!!!
As he’s trying to cool off his arm, he loses his footing and falls onto the ground from the trees. The three Hot Water shinobi land near him, prepared for battle. One is holding a type of scythe weapon, while the other two are dressed in casual uniform. The Hot Water shinobi wear a more robe style garb, with mesh armor underneath. The scythe wielder is wearing a white robe with a high collar.
Patsuta: *thinking* Sh*t. This is bad.
Song: Bad Situation
?: So, a Leaf Ninja. I’m glad someone as special as you can be our first opponent. But what scroll do you have?
Patsuta: I have a Fire Scroll, how about you?
?: A Water scroll. Perfect, this will be a massacre.
Patsuta: I don’t think so…
Patsuta starts to weave hand signs; however, the one with the scythe throws a small spear at him. Patsuta is forced to stop his signs, and dodge the spear. Patsuta then continues his jutsu.
Patsuta: Wind Style: Powerful Wind Waves!
Powerful gusts of waves drive the Hot Water Shinobi back. Patsuta then starts to run again. He goes directly to the traps, with the ninja not far behind.
?: Stop running and face us!
Patsuta: Not a chance!
Patsuta passes by Fukutsu, and nods at him. He then lands right onto tree, with the ninja still pursuing.
The Hot Water genin think they have Patsuta, however, they don’t know where they are at.
Song: Sarutobi
The Hot Water genin are on their last jump before the tree that Patsuta is on.
Patsuta (With a grin): Hmph.
The leader triggers the wire trap, and 100 kunai come flying towards them, all equipped with paper bombs. Patsuta jumps to the tree Fukutsu is on, so he doesn’t get caught. The regular dressed Hot Water Ninja dodge the blast, while the third gets caught up in it. The two that dodged fall right into the quicksand, and become stuck immediately.
Fukutsu jumps down to retrieve the scroll.
Fukutsu: Which one of you has the scroll?
Shinobi #1: I do. But I can’t get it, because it’s in my back pocket.
Fukutsu: Kameha, pull him out. We need that scroll.
Suddenly, a spear comes out of nowhere and grazes Fukutsu’s arm. It draws a little blood, but not too much.
Fukutsu (startled): What was that?!?
?: Hahahaha, you think you can get rid of me. Lord Jashin has given me immortality.
Fukutsu: Who are you?
Song:
?: I am Ryuzo. A Jashinist from the Hot Water Village, and I can not die.
Fukutsu: *Thinking* What the hell is a Jashinist.
Ryuzo jumps to where the spear is. He takes it and licks the blood. His skin turns black, with a skeletal pattern.
Patsuta: *Thinking* What is that?
Ryuzo then starts to draw the Jashin symbol, while he stands in the middle.
Ryuzo: I have you now Leaf Ninja! There is no escape!
Fukutsu starts weaving hand signs, when Ryuzo stabs his own hand.
Fukutsu: SHIIT!!!!
Fukutsu grabs his hand in pain, not knowing what has happened.
Ryuzo (evily): Hahahaha, you have no idea what is about to happen?
Fukutsu: *Thinking* What kind of jutsu is this? It hurts as if he’s stabbing me. What is that symbol? What is a
Jashinist? So many questions left unanswered…
Song: Kouen
Patsuta sees Fukutsu grasp his hand in pain. Patsuta notices Ryuzo has the spear in his hand, the same hand that Fukutsu is grabbing his hand. Ryuzo then slowly pulls out the spear, laughing while Fukutsu experiences more pain. Patsuta starts to run at Ryuzo, kunai drawn out. Ryuzo stares directly at him, and puts the spear near his heart.
Ryuzo: If you want your friend to live, I suggest you drop the kunai, back away, and give me your scroll.
Patsuta (noticing something): You see that’s the problem….
Kameha appears to the right of Ryuzo, and throws a kunai which knocks the spear out of his hand.
Patsuta: …… I don’t have to listen to you, if you can’t do anything.
Song: Strong and Strike
Patsuta: Now Kameha!
Kameha wraps Ryuzo with wire, and drags him out of his circle. Ryuzo looks stunned, trying to figure out what he did to tip off team seven.
Patsuta: I bet you’re trying to figure out what just happened. When you first threw the spear, I realized that it only scraped Fukutsu’s shoulder, and didn’t go for a direct hit. That was the first thing that bothered me. The second was when you licked that spear with Fukutsu’s blood, and started to draw that symbol. That I found very strange and started questioning things myself, however, as soon as you stabbed yourself, I knew something was up. When Fukutsu got hurt, I realized exactly what was happening.
Ryuzo: Damn you, you bastard. I was passing judgment!
Patsuta: I don’t give a f*ck what you were doing. I just wanted to save my friend.
Kameha: *Thinking* He’s so cool and smart. Not to mention, cute as well…
Fukutsu (panting): Thanks Patsuta, I appreciate it.
Patsuta: Don’t mention it.
Ryuzo (laughing): You think you’ve won! There are still two more left!
?: Boil Release: Boiling Mist
Song: Heavy Violence
Patsuta: *Thinking* How did they escape.
?: You see, I am a Boil Release user. I can use water and fire style proficiently. I watered down your quicksand to make it easier to escape.
Kameha touches the mist, and burns her fingers. She stumbles back, surprised.
Kameha: Fukutsu, Patsuta, don’t touch the mist. It will burn you.
?: It’s more like it would boil you alive.
Fukutsu: Patsuta, blow it away.
Patsuta: Roger
Patsuta weaves hand signs for his powerful wind wave jutsu. The other Hot Water Shinobi starts to weave hand signs as well.
Patsuta: Powerful Wind Wave!
Shinobi #2: Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!
The fireball engulfs the wind, and enlarges. Team Seven has little time to react. However, Fukutsu manages to weave some signs.
Fukutsu: Earth Style: Mud Wall Jutsu!
A massive mud wall erupts from the ground, protecting team seven. Ryuzo has escaped their grasp and rejoined his teammates.
