Chapter Three Part Three: The Return and Interrogation
Naruto and team return to The Leaf Village after their fight. Sakura and Hinata are waiting for them at the front gate. Naruto is happy with how well the mission went, even though they did not recover the documents. The scene switches over to Ibiki and Naruto in the same room with Kawagishi.
Ibiki: Tell us what you know, and you might be spared pain.
Kawagishi: Hehehehe…..Hahahahaha
Naruto: What’s so funny!?!
Kawagishi (In a sinister voice): Oh, nothing. We completed our mission, and you failed. No matter how hard you try, those trade documents are gone. They have been delivered to the final checkpoint by now. That whole battle was a fluke; we never actually meant to beat you. We merely provided a distraction for Hiyase to deliver the documents.
Naruto (Yelling): There’s no way Hiyase could have survived my Inferno Jutsu.
Ibiki looks at Naruto, slightly surprised at this new name of Jutsu. That surprised feeling fades, as he remembers who the next Hokage is set to be.
Kawagishi: And that’s where you’re wrong again. When Hayase dematerialized, it was actually a water clone. But I kept the image of him materializing the entire time. He had already been long gone down the river, before the fight even began.
Naruto: But we had his scent, we could have picked it up if he had left.
Kawagishi (mocking him): Wrong again, us Valley Shinobi have learned to hide our scent really well using the water around us. But you never would have known that, seeing as the Five Great Nations never pay any attention to the smaller villages.
Ibiki: Where are the documents now?
Kawagishi: I don’t know, I wasn’t given the details. The only one who knew everything was Hayase. It was his mission to get the documents’; we were just supposed to help him.
Ibiki: Who gave you the mission?
Kawagishi: Look at our headbands.
Naruto: They are from the Village Hidden in the Valley, in the Land of Rivers. I don’t know what The Hidden Valley wants with our trade document. We should go to the leader of The Hidden Valley, and bring these two.
Ibiki: Sounds good, I’ll keep these two here with me. You can report to Lady Tsunade with the information.
Naruto: Right.
Naruto leaves to report to the Hokage with the aforementioned information. The scene skips to Team Seven walking home together.
Song: Victory
Fukutsu (Smiling): That mission was pretty easy. It was a B-Rank, why did it seem like a regular D-Rank mission.
Patsuta: I was thinking the same thing….
Kameha: Well, no use now. We won, and completed the mission. I was thinking….
Naruto appears all of the sudden next to the kids.
The three: Naruto Sensei!
Naruto: Team, congratulations on the fight. However, we didn’t complete the mission. The documents were lost. It was all a distraction, so Hayase could get away.
Fukutsu (Angrily): How?!? I thought you killed him?
Naruto: So did I. It turned out to only be a water clone.
Patsuta: Damn…
Kameha: So what do we do Naruto Sensei?
Naruto: You three will do nothing. We are handing it over to other Jounin and such. You three will train while we wait for our next mission. We’ll start tomorrow, how does that sound?
Fukutsu (Still angry): Sounds good to me.
Patsuta: Me too!
Kameha: Don’t count me out!
Naruto: Alright then, I got to go, see you three tomorrow at the training grounds.
The Three: Right!
The scene switches to Tsunade’s office, where three people stand.
Tsunade: I have a mission involved with The Hidden Valley for you three.
Sai: Is it the follow up to Naruto’s mission?
Tsunade: Yes. Your skillset’s are perfect for this mission. Hinata, Sai, and Shino, you will find these documents while interrogating the Leader of Tanigakure. Leave at once.
The three ANBU: Yes, Lady Tsunade.
The three scatter, and start the new mission. The day ends, with Naruto and Kakashi at Ichiraku…
Naruto: Kakashi Sensei, can you help me with my students tomorrow.
Kakashi: Why, don’t you have enough jutsu knowledge to teach all of them?
Naruto: No, Fukutsu has an Earth Affinity, a type of jutsu I am lacking in. And Patsuta has two affinities, Wind and
Water. The best I could do is teaching him wind jutsu.
Kakashi: Naruto, you are forgetting something.
Naruto (dumbfounded): What?
Kakashi: I wouldn’t be the best teacher, even if I wanted to. There is one more who is better qualified than I.
Naruto: Damn… It’s been so long since I talked to him.
Kakashi: Yea, Yamato has been busy lately with enrolling to become a Jounin Sensei for the next batch of students. However, he hasn’t been up to much. I’m sure he’d be happy to help.
Naruto: You’re right, thanks Kakashi Sensei, I’ll go find him!
Naruto leaves Ichiraku, with Kakashi sitting there.
Kakashi: Same old Naruto, leaving before having to pay the bill.
Naruto finds Yamato the next morning, and the two leave for the training area where Naruto trained to use Rasenshuriken. Fukutsu, Patsuta, and Kameha are sitting down under a tree, waiting.
Naruto and Yamato arriving….
Naruto: Hey Fukutsu, Patsuta, Kameha. Are you ready to begin training?
Team Seven: Yes Naruto Sensei!
Fukutsu: Who is this?
Yamato: I am Captain Yamato. I used to train Naruto, here, at this exact spot. How about you tell me about your jutsu and affinity?
Fukutsu: I have an Earth affinity, and am prominent in Earth Style Jutsu.
Patsuta: I have a Wind and Water affinity, and am prominent in both.
Kameha: I have a Fire affinity, and am prominent in kunai and shuriken jutsu.
Yamato: Great, I’ll take Fukutsu and Patsuta with me Naruto, and you can train Kameha in Fire style.
Naruto: Right Captain Yamato.
Patsuta: What affinity do you fall under Captain Yamato?
Yamato: Huh, let me show you.
Just like when he was training Naruto, Yamato demonstrates his Wood Style, along with his Water and Earth. The three kids are amazed by this kind of technique. Yamato begins to train in perfecting the jutsu Fukutsu and Patsuta already know. Kameha perfects her fireball technique and has a lot better accuracy with the Phoenix Flower Jutsu. The day comes to a close and the scene shifts over to Hinata, Sai, and Shino.
They are traveling by birds to the Land of Rivers, and have almost arrived at The Hidden Valley Village.
Hinata: Byakugan!
Sai: Do you see any sort of ambush?
Hinata: No, what about your insects Shino.
Shino: No, seems pretty peaceful. We should go in through the front, so we don’t start a fuss.
Hinata and Sai (In agreement): Hmph
The birds land in front of the front gates. They have Kawagishi and Ryogawa wrapped up in ink snakes. The three arrive at the leader’s mansion. It is half the size of the Hokages mansion, with bluish paint on the wall. The Leader is waiting for them. He is dressed in traditional blue and white robes with a Blue Kage Hat.
?: Welcome to The Village Hidden in the Valley. I am the Tanikage, Kanagawa. I presume you are the 3 Leaf Shinobi?
Sai: Yes, and we have a couple questions for you. First, are these your men?
Kanagawa: Yes, they were my men. But then they turned rogue on us.
Sai: Ok. Well, these three were wearing your symbol on their headbands. They stole documents from our village regarding trade. Do you possibly have these papers?
Kanagawa: Like I said, they turned rogue. Is that all you have for me?
Sai: No, we also came with a back mission, are your ninja also taking part in the coming Chuunin Exams?
Kanagawa: Yes, we will be sending nine representatives. Will that be all?
Sai: Yes, we would also like to stay here to make sure these two are punished. Is that alright?
Kanagawa: Yes, why don’t we do that now?
The three are led into the chambers where the criminals are kept. Kawagishi and Ryogawa are thrown into a single cell together. A couple of the guards spit on them, in anger. Sai, Shino and Hinata all look satisfied.
Sai: Will they go on trial?
Kanagawa: Yes. We aren’t sure what we should charge them with yet. I would offer you a couple rooms for the night, but it seems as though we have none left, due to a rise in population. I wish you the safest of trips.
Sai, Hinata, and Shino: Thank you, we will head out now.
Kanagawa: Make sure to give the Hokage my sincerest apologies.
Sai: Ok.
Sai draws up some birds. The three head back to the village. Kanagawa enters another building that leads to the underground. He meets with two people.
Song: Orochimaru’s Theme
Kanagawa (searching through his robes): Lord Otokage, I have the documents you requested, on the trade routes between The Leaf and The Sand.
Otokage: Well done Kanagawa, you have not failed me. The other small villages are in the process of taking the other documents. After that is over, we need to build up our number of higher ranked shinobi. We will bide our time for now. What do you say Orochimaru?
Orochimaru (in his snake like voice): Yessss Otokage, a grand idea. Then we will attack. They will not expect it coming, especially the Leaf Village.
Otokage: Yes, we will finally no longer be the weak countries in this world.
The scene fades out, with the three laughing.
