Itachi's my favorite character, but I could care less who's stronger or weaker than him. Naruto's obviously > Narutoverse by the end, he's the main character. Itachi was happy to see his fellow Konoha shinobi grow stronger and would be happy to see Naruto and Sasuke surpass him, so I'll be happy that Naruto surpasses Itachi.
