If we only saw 1/3 of the scene, does that mean the Hyuugas MIGHT be the primary focus of Part 3?
By "1/3" I meant that the first time we are shown the vision from the past was around the 1/3 mark of the movie, after they got to the moon. The Hyuuga's story was adequately focused on in the movie, both directly and indirectly through Toneri's story.
The Otsutsuki were the clan of Hagoromo and Hamura and apparently all had byakugan, making Hagoromo a unique existence in the clan (a mutant due to his eyes being rinnegan, so Kakashi was NOT really wrong when he said that the rinnegan was just a mutation.) When Hamura took control of the clan they all returned to the moon, but apparently there were those that remained on the earth that would later be called the Hyuuga. Both Otsutsuki and Hyuuga developed a main house/branch house system, with the main house of the Otsutsuki having the sun as their crest and the branch house having the crescent moon as theirs (perhaps this is why the Hyuuga were named thus, as the name means "toward the sun.") There was the tradition of removing their byakugan at birth on the moon, whereas there was a tradition of protecting the byakugan on the earth. A war broke out on the moon between the main and branch houses, with the branch house coming out on top. On earth the main house is in complete control. Toneri is the descendent of the branch house, whereas Hinata is in the main house. There were more things shown, but with all of this said, what more would we need to know about the Hyuuga?
What do you think?
