Anything? I think its too far fetched. It would mean that Sasuke can only use his technique while being naked in mid air, which is not the case. IMO there are three possible explanation:
1. Kaguya did something so he couldnt use it
2. Technique wasnt ready to use
3. Plot no Jutsu

You do know she used it twice before grabbing him. He is supposed to be smart. He should have known what was coming. So yea that not seeing it coming BS doesn't apply.

Sasuke saw kaguya but didn't know what she was doing, so he didn't know what to do. On the other hand, if you go back to last chapter of last 2 pages, naruto didn't even have has guard on because his eyes was on sasuke the whole time XD
