...it's about the shinobi world and its hatred and how it has impacted the lives of shinobi, including Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi. That's why none of the major villains were evil for evil's sake.

Zabuza wanted to invade the Mist out of contempt for it having stripped him of humanity and reduced him to a tool for killing.

Haku was shunned and his mother was killed out of the fear and hatred the shinobi world bred for ppl with kekkei genkai. Zabuza was the only person who accepted him, even if it was just as a tool.

Orochimaru--though we don't yet know his exact reason for taking the dark path--clearly came to fear the weakness of mortality and sought immortality to learn every jutsu to attain power. I bet when Kishi finally reveals Oro's reason for choosing the dark path it will be something along the lines of power being everything in the shinobi world and the only way to achieve peace is by achieving absolute power. Oro sought immortality to live long enough to learn every jutsu in existence to achieve absolute power.

Itachi had to shed the blood of his brethren as a result of the hatred and distrust of the shinobi world.

Pein los his family, best friend, and sanity to the shinobi world.

Kisame devoted himself to the Akasuki to escape the lies of the shinobi world by living in a lie which was less brutal that the lies and brutality of the shinobi world.

Naruto and Sasuke represent the two paths one can thread in response to the brutality of the shinobi world. Choose the peaceful cooperative route like Naruto is trying to or perpetuate hatred and exact vengeance against the shinobi world that took everything from you like Sasuke originally intended to.

And of course I don't need to mention Mads and Obito.

That's what makes Black Zetsu's statements about having written the 'story' of shinobi so important. Kishi's intention was never to simply tell the story of Naruto. It was the story of the shinobi world and Naruto finding his place in it.

Just a random thought that came to me while re-waching the Sasori vs Sakura/Chiyo fight. IDK if I'm slow and everyone else realized this, but Sasori's back story kind of gave me a 'aha' moment.

Thoughts?

The stories are all tied back to his journey though.

Nice. But I see even a deeper meaning. It can also be connected to real life. Peace and prosperity can never be achieved without the compromise of the two opinions. You can see this with villages which united through the war and in a more detailed version through the generations of Uchiha and Senju, namely Naruto and Sasuke. Once they reach a compromise and the ability to work together, mutual understand and respect would be born.

Maybe but Kishi needs a headline so he decided to make Naruto the MAIN CHARACTER so its about Naruto but the world of Shinobi and the hate are 2nd side topics

This series named after naruto for a reason.

Currently being the strongest is also proves that this Story is about naruto.

A Child of Prophecy and A boy who will lead peace is all about naruto

Out of 690 chapters, 620 chapters are revolving around naruto

It is quite disappointing that even after reading 690 chapters people still don't know about manga :(

Oh wait. This girl is a sasuke fangirl. Now i get it why she was writing that BS.

To be more precise, Sasuke is a side Kick character and he is as useless as sakura when it comes to storyline :)

Hope i solved your PROBLEM

Boy. You ppl are so damn superficial. Can't look beneath the surface. Yes the story is called Naruto and it is about him finding his place in the shinobi world, but the SHINOBI WORLD is the basis and context of the story. The story is about the shinobi world's hate and how it has impacted the lives of ppl, including Naruto.

Just bc the manga is called Naruto doesn't mean it's just about him.

SMDH. It's amazing how much lower the quality of responses posted here are than in other forums. Surprise, surprise.

Many of them see the sub-plot but they're probably trolling. Don't worry about it.

exactly like there are two paths and either one can lead to peace but true peace will come by the two sides working together in harmony to achieve a shared goal xd sacrifices have to be made to reach a compromise, it's also about how love can move people
