Naruto is the only one who can surpass Minato

Jiraiya has said multiple times that "Naruto is the only one who will be able to surpass the 4th hokage" and I believe Kakashi has said it too. Even though Hiruzen and Hashirama were before him does this mean they are implying that he is the strongest, even stronger than them?

I'm only wondering because Kishi makes it ambigous on the strongest kage, saying Hiruzen was the strongest then building up Hashirama's hype like he was the best

I didnt say he was useless, I just said that the only thing he had going for him was his ftg. He still is strong, with or without it, but if you want to play that game then all im saying is that without that one thing Minato only has a rasengan, which isnt that great. Take sharingan away from Sasuke and he has all his Taijutsu and Ninjutsu skills (and curse mark to a point). Take away Kyuubi from Naruto and he has sm, clones, and all forms of ransengan. Im not downgrading Minato's abilities in speed, im just saying he doesnt have much beyond it.

ahhhh, i think edo madara is past 4th hokages level. see when he fights the 5 kages, he use so much chakraa on high level techniques, but remember when minato teleported 9 tails tailed bomb shxt, he was exhausted right after that.

they arent equal sasuke currently is weaker than naruto until suigetsu gives him that scroll

We havent seen much beyond it.

And without FTG he still has his sealing jutsus and taijutsu. I'm not saying hes badass without FTG, just saying its unfair to put him under those conditions, especially a character who've we haven't seen much from.
