It's dangerous for a mangaka/author to let him/herself be influenced by fans. That doesn't always end well. I don't want Naruto dead either, but it all depends on Kishimoto-sensei. I mean Light was killed in Death note too and he was the main character *shrugs*
Anyway, he said he has the ending already planned out, so we just have to wait it out and see what he'll do.

@Pravin5: it's not because Sasuke is one of my two top favourite characters, that I overrate him. I'm not a mindless fangirl that overrates him. I use logic and manga facts when I post something about him.
What point would the fight between Sasuke and Naruto have if it was decided from the start who would win? That would be incredibly boring. That's why it's only logical that Sasuke and Naruto are going to be equals - otherwise the fight would be over too soon.

Because otherwise the fight would be incredibly boring if it was decided from the start who would win. Plus one of the plots was how Naruto and Sasuke are always training to catch up to each other. It would be disappointing if Naruto was so strong it would be obvious from the start who would win. There wouldn't be any suspense.

I only watched a few episodes of Dragonball Z and to be honest, I couldn't care less for that show. Yes, Kishimoto-sensei was inspired by that show, but it's still his own manga and he's the one who decides what happens with it.
You're always underrating Sasuke which is as bad as overrating him. And eh, if you actually looked at my posts and read them, you would have realized that I never say Sasuke can win against everyone. I'm one of the few Sasuke fans who actually know his strengths and flaws and I'm not stupid like other too enthusiastic Sasuke fans who say he can win against everyone. He can't. It's as simple as that.
But to automatically assume he doesn't stand a chance against Naruto is wrong too. He wouldn't be a good rival for Naruto if he was so weak that Naruto would win immediately.
And like I pointed out, I'm not a biased fan: you're the one who's putting everyone in the same group. Whenever there's a thread about Sasuke and Naruto, you're always the one who insults the Sasuke fans; sorry but that makes you look immature.
