while naruto had intel on the abilities of the paths, pein had the intel on fukasaku and shima's trump card
while naruto came prepared with his clones and method of prolonging sage mode, pein came with a new path body and nagato positioned himself at a favorable position from where he could transmit his chakra at all times and with full efficiency

lol @ people posting a pic of naruto pinned to ground, naruto was trying to save fukasaku and was not in sage mode, once in sage mode it was deva path who was getting kicked around and naruto was casually breaking chakra rods

Furthermore, Deva was already Handicapped when he entered into a fight with Naruto from using Almighty-Push. Because of that, the recovery of the other paths was 'drastically' slowed down. Had he not been over-taken by Kurama, the fight was over. Also, Pein had no intention to kill him.

if shurikens can kill 6 PAINs then IRUKA and tenten can solo'd them one by one U_U

shurikens were effective in part1 but against Rinnegan user shuriken is wastage of time and effort

tsukuyomi cant affect single pain U_U

i didnt underestimated uchihas but kishi underestimated them himself because only 6 uchihas ( shisui , madara , izuna ,itachi , obito and sasuke ( itachi implanted MS in him)) were able to gain MS

Out of these 6 only 2 were able to achieve EMS and you know without EMS , uchiha can be blind after using MS for sometime

I'm sorry but if hinata didn't intervene naruto lost, he had given up, the only reason 9 tails was able to get through the seal and give him that power isbecause naruto's rage made him able to get through which wouldn't have happened with out hinata. And when they were fighting before devs path didn't have his powers which helped because if he dis he would have beat naruto even quicker.

It means that your opponent knows who does what and allows them to come with scenarios that force the victim to defend in a certain way and then counter. For shinobis such as Itachi and Sasuke this kind of info is deadly. Separating paths and dealing with each one accordingly seems like a pretty viable strategy.

Naruto was blatantly weaker. He had almost full knowledge, time to prepare, assistance from toads he didn't even need to summon, Pain had just finished using up energy to fight all of Konoha and his most powerful path wasn't even usable for the the first few minutes of the fight, and on top of not even wanting to kill Naruto, yet he pinned him to the ground and could have easily killed Naruto by impaling his heart. Pain was obviously stronger.
