So Naruto gains all the knowledge and information from his clones that's why training is a breeze.
But Naruto uses this same method in battle.

He always comes up with a plan but its usually so drastic that the enemy would never expect him to go through with it.
So if he gains info and knowledge from his defeated clones why is not in the ranks with itachi and Kakashi?
Even though Naruto did beat a couple op foes I wish he got a brain power up,
I think there will be another time skip off topic and if there is it would be nice to come back to a smart Naruto.

He's not a planner, but with his endurance and power he really doesn't have to be xd

he's not as smart in battle as say Itachi and Minato. that said, as far as battle strategies go, the things he's pulled off are second to only Shikamaru and Kakashi imo. Naruto's not the type to figure out jutsu and so on, but he's a very tricky bastard. the combinations he pulled off against Pain would defeat most s-rank ninja.

Who says they can use rinnegan techs while linked to the juubi. If you've noticed, they were struggling to control the Juubi. Plus the rinnegan is the thing that helps them control the juubi, along with hashi's cells, so I think they are putting all of their concentration on the juubi. They didn't worry about the rasenshuriken, because the attacked with the juubi.

Plus it was mainly to break their connection with the juubi, if you haven't noticed the other ninjas behind Naruto. If there was a 5 second delay in shinra tensei like pein, then they would've gotten through to madara while he shinra tensei'd the rasenshuriken away

And concidering the rasenshuriken's blast range, they would've all gotten hit by it. So I think Naruto was aiming for that 5 second delay

He made a mistake.. Everybody makes mistakes. He showed lots of battle smarts in the manga, but everyone only focus on the few mistakes he made. Even Kakashi got caught by Zabuza in part 1. Sasuke used his chidori after he was told by Kakashi that he can only use it 2 times and that made him unable to move. Everyone makes mistakes nobody is perfect, but they when it come to Naruto, everyone thinks he's stupid
