You can flip this argument the other way around and say that hxh is ripping off Naruto, so it doesn't have that strong a base to begin with. Bringing up the description of Goku/Gon was just a way of demonstrating how your argument of ripoff is not very strong, because that is how you are comparing details, like saying hunter test=genin exam. it's very simplistic. Scarlet pupils= sharingan. Do you see how simplistic the comparison is? I've read up to 117 in the manga so far, and while it is enjoyable, I don't get the emotional connection with the characters of hxh that I get in Naruto. That is one thing that Kishi does well. And the X-men are a "family" with allegiances like if they were a clan, you get it?
