I have a simple question, one I have always wondered about. It concerns Gohan.

We all know Goku was born a 3rd class Saiyan, through his death and otherworldly training he was able to push past his boundaries and take his limits to a level that even God could not have fathomed.

But his son, Gohan has always had an amazing hidden potential from birth, as a toddler, he cleaned his uncle Raditz's clock when he was angered. His anger was the key. This is interesting, because Gohan was probably the biggest pacifist in DBZ, like Itachi, he hated conflict, but always stood against that which threatened his friends or family.

Where does that crazy potential stem from? Was it a gift from God? Was it related to his mystical human background aka Chi Chi and Ox King?

Has Toriayama ever mentioned this subject or explained it?

Well Hybrid Saiyans became weaker when they stop training, if you've seen Buu Saga. As Full Fledged Saiyans keep their power even when they stop training.

except gohan was nice. itachi was a murderous genocidal psychopath who brutally tortured and put his brother in a coma and helped murder 7 innocent people. he also tried to brainwash and enslave his brother to serve konoha for eternity.
