Hello people,
I was wondering if others were feeling the same way. I was a huge fan of Naruto, especially after the Pain fight, but the character has recently really started to irritate me. He talks a lot about the pain he has suffered, but in reality, its not even comparable to most of the characters he's encountered. I mean, yes, he was ostricized by his village for a while, but he still had people to care and look after him. He didn't have either of his parents, but it's not like he experienced having parents. The pain is less when you have never met the people who gave birth to you. Basically, the only time he really suffered loss was when he lost his 60 year old teacher, Jiraiya. Compared to someone like Sasuke, whose entire family was murdered by his brother, under orders from the village he trusted and gave his life to, or Obito, whose love was murdered by his best friend, or Pain whose family and closest friend were murdered in front of his eyes, his pain is really nothing. To having him go out and give his sanctimonious speeches about his "suffering" irritates me, especially now in the manga. Compared to this, he was basically an orphan who lost a grandpa like figure. Sure it hurts, but its not even close to the despair the people he's talking to felt.
Anyways, I was just wondering if anyone else felt the same way. I liked the Naruto character for the longest time, but his speeches now are just getting unbearable. I also don't like how everyone is suddenly magically convinced by him too. Like how Kakashi's guilt was just swept away by the Naruto speech. That scene especially pissed me off.
