Naruto has always wanted to be hokage, and he is now the strongest in his village in my opinion, but i dont think he is ready for it any time soon. This is why.
1. He knows little about village matters, economics, taxes or any basic things that a hokage would need to be educated on.
2. He doesn't know a large amount of history, beyond stories he has heard verbally, since he doesnt read much at all. This being said the entire history will repeat it self saying could come true easily.
3. Naruto's personality even at is most serious state cannot compare to any hokages, just seeing what tsunade had to do i doubt he could keep up with the work load or handle the stress.
4. He has not emotionally matured completely. In shippuden he was shocked to hear that the 3rd hokage was involved with itachi and didnt want to believe that he would do something like making an order of genocide, if the village was put in a similar situation I dont think naruto would act upon it, but instead try to talk things out or something, which could end in unneeded casualties.
5. Naruto unlike all other hokages has never been put in a long term leadership position, so would not know a lot about this sort of thing, which is a setback for someone who would be in a major leadership role.
6. Naruto even though improving, is to nice to people, he will need to have a more firm resolve, this is part of ruling a land.
7. Naruto never gained back knowledge from his early years of slacking off, and did not learn important information that would most likely be basic for any role in the konoha government.
