Did anyone ever realize that the manga naruto is not actually about naruto uzumaki???
The manga naruto is based off of the book naruto which jiraiya made based off of nagato's words...

Naruto already had the will of the character in Jiraiya's book. He just used the book as extra impetus.

Obviously, if this manga were about the book in the manga, then there would be no Uchiha, Senju, etc etc. The book was made without reference to specific clans as it was meant to promote change in the shinobi world. A change, I might add, that Naruto is trying to make come to pass.

No, it's the other way around, the Tale of the Gutsy Ninja is actually based on Jiraiya himself. Naruto used it as an inspiration.

Actually you are wrong. Naruto just resembles the main character of a book. The story is still about Naruto Uzumaki. The book is simply the fictional version of Naruto U_U And the manga was called Naruto even before Jiraya was "invented".

So it's more that Jiraya's book is about the manga, so it's the opposite of inception (though I would not call it inception in the first place...) :|
