So after almost two decades, we thought Naruto was finally going to end and the ending: we thought that after the incredibly harsh fight, the characters would live happily ever after or at least have a joyful future (such as in Dragon Ball Z when they kill Kid Buu and in the next episode a long time has passed by and you see everyone grown up and with their couples).
The last Naruto episode was basically an amazingly happy ending... then Naruto Gaiden starts and we see the depressing truth of what has been going on. Does the misery never end! Alrighty, NO more war (one that supposedly changed the world in many aspects); no more Juubito; no more Juudara; no more Kaguya, and more importantly, no more Infinite Tsukuyomi... but all that being crushed just to have a never-ending misery in the lives of our characters? Hell, who knows if Sasuke is even Sakura's actual husband and she has been deluded herself into believing that he is, even trying to fool Sarada into believing she's her mother.
