Even I know this is wrong.... While I might believe anyone with Six Paths chakra may be able to resist IT, the manga never indicated that Hagoromo and Hamura resisted ITs effects. When they battled Kaguya the genjutsu wasn't even activated, there were probably just people under the spell already

No, dont you realise that IT is worldwide genjutsu, it has been casted before Kaguya/Juubii got sealed.
In order to cast IT, you must have what Madara had the time he cast IT, Juubii and third Rinnegan. Mean Kaguya must have the same to cast IT. They had to seal their mother with sun and moon seal and it is obivously after IT being casted. Otherwise Hagoromo wouldnt said that about IT.
This is a little bit tricky and complicate but it is all connected together. Haruma must have encountered IT before Kaguya being sealed by Sun and Moon seals. For Hagoromo to search for clue how to dispell IT on Haruma while fighting their mother is kinda illogical.

But the main key here is that missing ALL TAILED CHAKRA in order to dispell IT. How can Hagoromo get ALL TAILED BEAST CHAKRA when Hagoromo never had it before he sealed it inside his body which also was the time Haruma fighting along with him to seal up Juubii ?
