You forgot one thing: Sasuke wasn't allowed to help Itachi in the fight against Kabuto. Itachi specifically told him to stay out of it because they needed Kabuto alive and Sasuke would have attacked to kill. Please read the manga correctly before stating that Itachi was doing the fighting for Sasuke -_-
Also, this thread has been made countless times before and it only ends in flames. Yes, currently Naruto is stronger than Sasuke, no doubt about that. I don't see the point in constantly repeating that.
However Kishimoto-sensei has stated they are like yin and yang, thus equals and that's what they'll always be. One of the plots in Naruto is the rivalry between them and Naruto's wish to be Sasuke's equal. Pay attention to this: Naruto has stated his wish to be Sasuke's equal, not to overpower him.
I really don't understand why it's so hard to accept the fact that in the end they will be equals. Both Naruto and Sasuke are my top two favourites of the manga, but it seems here that you either are a Naruto fan or a Sasuke fan and it's apparently weird to be both.
