The normal clones are genjutsu but the Shadow clones aren't. Unless the genjutsu requires mass chakra he'd suck.

Normal clones aren't genjutsu. And Naruto has the best chakra control in the manga. Naruto's genjutsu > Itachi's.

Yes they are. Normal clones are illusions, Genjutsu are illusions. I never said he sucked at chakra control, but when you have so much chakra it would be hard to get only a minute amount for something like genjutsu.
