OP, you are most likely right but still Kishi left himself room or space to pull explanation here why it couldn't work then... but can work now. These reasons are:

1) Back then Kyuubi was hostile... now Kurama wanted to save Naruto as his friend
2) Back then Kyuubi was 100% full size .... now it was just 50% of Kurama.
3) Back then Kyuubi was ripped out forcefully from Kushina... now it was ripped while Naruto was using Kurama as chakra avatar so maybe it was removed faster.
4) Back then sealing Kyuubi back could not save Kushina as Kyuubi was hostile and would do everything to escape and harm Kishina while now Kurama would do everything to be dragged into Naruto avoiding any harm to his body while healing it right away.

You'll be sealing it in a dead body it makes no sense but then again this whole war arc made no sense so what's new. If he still had a pulse the yeah it could work but he is dead soo.... either people are in denial about this upcoming asspull or simply don't know about medical practice. I'm in medical school I about this stuff. Sakura CPR doesn't seem to be working and he hasn't had a heart beat in quite sometime he would be pronounced dead.
Since people are misunderstanding my point is he will survive via an asspull despite being dead and against manga logic.

Sorry to break it to you but this isn't your lab practical....it's a manga.....where ninjas spit fire out of nowhere....u can't possibly compare medical ninjutsu to real life medical practice
