Remember the ova where Naruto cheated in the chunin exams by virtue of using sage mode? If people call the last "canon" then that ova is canon too.

Knowing Naruto, he'd probably resort to Ma+Pa or a Kurama ramapage to beat the genin there, if allowed.

This has been discussed to death but the Naruto/Boruto moment in the stadium simply doesn't work or make sense due to double standards.

+Disqualified for accidentally activating Sage Mode. This is presented as an unfair ruling for comedic effect.

+Entire first exam is about cheating. Ninjas simply need to be the best supplied, most resourceful and win in actual situations. Boruto had the right kind of contact to be chosen as the showcase for a new, insane device. He managed to hide it from examiners who were watching him intently....almost like a ninja?

+Naruto stole (not given) his first ever technique to cheat the academy pass exam. Boruto is an accomplished, talented ninja already when the ruling around someones 'own power' is already questionable in this Ninja world when puppets, dogs, summons and effortless unearned abilities (Temari's fan, Sasuke copying Lee's speed and Gaara's sand) RAN the chunnin exams.

It's also Naruto's fault that Boruto even has a complex in the first place, Naruto stole because he was a delinquent & pier pressured- Boruto stole because he was lazy and had something to prove to his Father.

Nothing wrong there. The point of Chunnin exams is to develop you as a ninja, Naruto was already a damn well developed one so he gets a pass here.

The real problem is the fact that he relied on Kurama to beat Neji so yeah...
you know it took training from jiraiya for naruto to be able to call on the kyuubi right?

So it's his power.

naruto could destroy everyone there in base mode easily..

naruto only starts using his brain in a fight when the opponent is very strong.

The point of the Chunnin exams is to showcase ninja from the 5 Nations and bring in money/international relations. The only ninja to get made Chunnin wasn't the one with insane physical power or traditional 'earned ability'- it was Shikamaru. Somebody who was promoted because he understood what matters in the real world of Shinobi outside of the stadium.

Clearly that represents what the exams are about and what standards the ninja world are looking for.

Also...Boruto wasn't a well developed ninja? He had mastered many jutsu and chakra natures. Naruto had one jutsu and was much MUCH less mature and experienced.

Naruto Is a lot of things. He still supports little kids learning how to kill lol
he's a great hokage, father-like figure to all those kids.

It's because boruto is a scrub that's why he has a problem with his dad.

no wonder he looks up to a dead-beat like sasuke.

Even sasuke's daughter who is extremely smart can this,

no he isn't a developed ninja, if he went on a A-ranked mission he would get rekted.

naruto got rekted but he wasn't lazy and overcame the obstacles to become a badass.

boruto is just acting like an uchiha wannabe...

That's not really the point Vulpini. Naruto may seem like he's being a hypocrite, but there's a large difference between using the KOTE device, and being a Jinchuriki. First of all Naruto worked hard to master the Kyuubi's power up until that point where he reached full mastery.

Boruto used a device that mainly did everything for him, he didn't even need chakra to use the device. Naruto's job is to make sure that he creates fine shinobi who understand that using a tool of this nature isn't 'hard work' just because the times are different compared to the old era.

People calling Naruto a hypocrite are basically undermining what Naruto had to achieve (along with the help of others) in order to master his own abilities. What's worse is that you're comparing a ninja tool device which you can or cannot use based on your own personal choices, to a demon which was forced onto him right after he was born in front of his dying parents.

Shit is just crazy.

Loud, shouting Naruto with only shadow clones (that he stole a scroll to pass his graduation exam for) is NOT a better rounded ninja than Boruto. There is no argument here.

Naruto completely downgrades the ninja tool and look what happened...

Kawaki probably used one of those things.... i've actually made a theory about it.

That is basically what happened when the first phone company appeared. "THE AGE OF PIGEONS POST IS OVER" - Alexander Bell

Oh really? As the Hokage:

1.) Naruto still lets Orochimaru experiment on people, kidnap children, and let him have the freedom to continue on with his malicious schemes

2.) Instead of killing the Shin Clones, he gives them to the guy that unleashed Edo Tensei and was once a spy for Orochimaru and was part of Konoha's invasion in Part 1 before the death of the Third Hokage

3.) He still lets the Bijuu roam free despite the fact that people will seek out their power for malicious deeds.

4.) The village has been destroyed again.

Hmm, looks like Sasuke was right after all
