Naruto didn't even know what elements were.It was a subject he had known nothing about, much less could actually do.

And it's not neccessarily about having a teacher or not.Naruto learned his elememt so quickly because of his Shadow clone usage.]At 7 years old,Naruto would not be able to use Shadow Clones like he did in part 2 to be able to learn so quickly, and even if 7 year old Naruto could. He would be doing it with many clones thus cutting down the time, instead of learning it himself like Sasuke did.

Sasuke learned the Fireball Jutsu in a week on his own. All his Dad did was show him the seals to use,and give a brief description on how to release the technique. He didn't teach him how to manipulate Fire Nature.

This and the few pages.

And later,Sasuke learned Lee's Highspeed Taijutsu in 2 weeks on top of learning to use his 2nd nature element enough to Master the Chidori in 2 weeks while dealing with the CM,having to worry about Orochimaru, and having Gaara's creepy ass interrupt his training.

This was during the month break between the preliminaries, and the finals.I say two weeks because at the beginning of chapter 93 it says,"15 days since the start of training".

Then later in the chapter we see Sasuke, and Kakashi, and Kakashi says,"So you're finally here"Thus implying Sasuke showed up to training for the first time with only 15 days left.

This and the next page.

He mastered the 3rd stage of the Rasengan in a week.Remember he used the incomplete version of the Rasengan on Tsunade, then sue made a bet with him to see if he could master it in a week?

Nobody taught him in young age what elements means and about their advantages/disadvantages. No wonder that Naruto doesn't know anything about it.

He is talented when it comes to Jutsus and so on but when it comes to books, yeah no.

Although I hope he became more smarter in the sequel.

What trumps both is being a hardworking genuis. So i'd say a Talented Genuis is better, cause he can work hard aswell.Gain expeireince, and still be naturally skilled.

Learning on your own is obviously more impressive than learning with someones help.Sasuke barely had his Dad help to learn Fireball Jutsu.I explained here.

This is especially impressive considering how Kakashi said it normally takes years to learn one element.

Sasuke's dad told him how to do it and he did it, that's all anyone can do. Just like Asuma explained how to perform wind manipulation, this point of yours that he was "barley helped" is ridiculous. You explain how to do it and your student does it, that's all teaching is. Fugaku uchiha: To use it, you draw chakra from your mouth into your chest, and hold it there. Then, immediately blow it right out.

Asuma: You've got to imagine splitting your chakra into two and grinding them together, do it so that the two chakra fields sharpen each other into fine pieces.

These two things are exactly the same.

The level of skill required to perform nature transformation isn't that high or else kishi would of ranked the techniques higher. The ranks aren't about how strong a techniques is, but how hard it is to perform said technique chidori is eaiser than rasenshuriken even tho they both apply shape and nature transformation. But rasengan is the PINNACLE of shape manipulation every other shape pales in comparison so all of Sasuke's enton shapes and Chidori shapes don't compared to naruto's rasengan this is just fact.

>Shadow Clone Jutsu is not a high level jutsu to learn, it is just that it requires a large chakra pool to utilize, otherwise the person will be drained. That's why Shinobi with high reserves like Naruto can peform it so well, Boruto too.

>He had to clones to even do half of the work for him, Naruto mastered the technique during the Pain Arc when he peformed it with one hand

>Naruto's chakra pool stabilized SM better than both Jiraiya and Minato, Jiraiya himself could not keep it up by himself either. Lack of substance of course.

>Ashura is always the failure and hardworker. Most of these abilities, skills, and techniques Naruto would of never learned nor mastered by himself.

This is not right.
Naruto started as no body. There is no one around to teach him, when sasuke got a nice start.
Second, he can not perform high rank jutsu by just having high amount of chakra reserve, in fact his body is yet to able to handle those chakra properly.
Third he doesnt has any dojutsu to just copy&paste and it is not only copy and paste. The most fearsome is that you understand of how it works, that is the point here. While for naruto he has to figure out him self of how the thing works, since he cannot see the flow of chakra like other dojutsu user...
Fourth, his mastered sm( method count ) has problem with the nine tails actually, and it makes harder for him than the rest.

Naruto wasn't a genius in the sense of brainpower, he was naturally talented like Messi he just does things based on instinct. Itachi, Minato, Hiruzen, Shikamaru, Oro, etc. were geniuses because of their analytical skills.

If naruto live with Itachi at young age like sasuke did, then im sure he got some thing out of it, instead he was alone all the time..

Depends what your definition of genius is. Naruto doesn't have Itachi and Sasuke's analyzing skills, nor does he have Minato's. Yes he showed moments of brilliance but that's because he's naturally talented at deceiving people and using shadow clone. He never analyzed a jutsu and came up with a way to use it, he had to learn through trial and error.

Naruto spent years in the academy. It's not anyone else's fault that he didn't learn what he should of.

He was with Jiraiya for 3 years...

And learned how to make a bigger Rasengan.

I'm just curious.Which do you think is better? The Experienced person,or the Talented Prodigy.
I wouldn't say I like either character trope more than the other; it depends on the characters themselves and the world they are placed in. For example, I used to prefer Azula, the naturally talented genius, in Avatar the Last Airbender, but later learned to like Zuko's character as well, even though he had not yet surpassed his younger, more powerful sister. Eventually, I came to enjoy Zuko's character more.

Think about it
He mastered shadow clone jutsu (a b level jutsu) in literally seconds

Mastered the rasengan faster than his Minato and Jiraiya then infused with a chakra nature something his own prodigy father couldn't do, then made a shuriken versions of it that was infused with a chakra nature.

Mastered Sage mode faster than Hashirama and Jiraiya without using a animal.

Got control of tailed beast chakra faster than any other jinchuuriki

Mastered tail beast mode in a seconds (Side noting: you would probably want to say that because Kurama was helping him, Killer bee got help from the Eight Tails and still took him years to get control of tail beast mode, and naruto did is a less than a minute.

He then fused Sage mode and Tailed Beast Mode like it was nothing

Got chakra from at the tailed beast and He was immediately able to use and Chakra natures and Kekkai Genkais of all the tailed beasts without any training.

He was able to manipulate the black balls on a level higher than Madara and Obito.

and list just keeps going, yet we still call him an idiot

Update- Sasuke fanboys this is a Naruto thread, but please still bring you comparisons as if it phases the NARUTO fanboys
Also ITACHI with Rinnegan solos you favorite character
you might be onto something but the bold part is terribly wrong, nobody showed a better control of the gudodamas than juubito

Naruto may have been stupid in the past but he's grown and could easily be now labeled a genius. Why? Hard Work didn't allow him to learn the RasenShuriken. If that were the case anybody could of done it. It's through his own creativity and intelligence that he figured how he could finish creating the technique. Even developing it further to be able to be thrown a technique to others to be impossible to even accomplish in the first place with such advanced chakra manipulation and he was able to learn how to use that and throw it. Hard work doesn't help with that either.

Also what's with the Naruto doesn't learn things himself and Sasuke does? Where has there been an instance where Sasuke learned all he knows himself? Kirin and every other similar jutsu is all based off Chidori taught to him by Kakashi. People like to say how everything Naruto taught himself through the Rasengan with his variations coming from Minato. Same goes for Sasuke with Kirin from Chidori. Don't be so quick to point fingers hah lol.
