I think, you could say: ".. Naruto is a lovely genius." In the sense that he is that sort of persona that walks the world in a mild manner and gets rewarded for it. You don´t have to be a sarcastic know-it -all. Knowledge, nor wisdom will prevent the forces of your life from leading you. So, he knows,as a fictional character to take the best from each situation given to him. Retorically speaking, as Itachi did in his own way. (For him to be called genius-prodigy like Oro, or J-man-Madara-Kabuto---ETC)
