Naruto/Inuyasha

Is it just me or does Naruto have an Inuyasha ring to it?

Naruto/Inuyasha

Sasuke/Sesshomaru

Two brothers/bestfriends: in battle.

Naruto/Inuyasha: cast off because of what and who they are but ends up saving and being the hero to the ones who threw them away.

Sasuke/Sesshomaru: just a cold attitude through and through and kills anyone who stands in their way.

Brothers/bestfriends: each has a bad guy they are going after (or soon once Sasuke joins the fight)

Sesshomaru gave Inuyasha power and Itachi died so Sasuke could get his power.

Madara and Obito/Naruka: Went after the tailed beasts/Went after the jewel and trying to destroy the world

If you ask me I think the end might just be the same.

Two brothers/bestfriends fighting each other but ends up destrying the bad guy together and saving the world.

I might be wrong though because Sasuke might kill them to get them out of his way but then what happens after that?

Anyways way to notice that! I would agree that those similarities are shared.

Sasuke is still a toss up though.....I say it is almost a 50/50 if he shows up....

If he does show up, we will have the whole backstory to what happened which will cut through the fight for several weaks. This would also suggest Naruto vs Sasuke won't probably happen, and that this is indeed a 'final extended arc' of sorts.

If he does not, then after the war ends we will see Sasuke arriving at his destination...the final confrontation being Naruto vs Sasuke or Naruto and Sasuke vs Orochimaru

Naruto needs only to learn Meido Zangetsuha to suck the Juubi's remains into the other dimension.

Sasuke needs to acquire the Bakusaiga to constantly decompose the Juubi's body.

Thanks and I was thinking the same thing but in truth I would hope Sasuke turns good again so it would be Sasuke vs Orochimaru

I can see that. Also a very slight similarity to Kikyo/Sakura as the women Inyuasha/Naruto loved and then Kagome/Hinata the good girls that have to fight for their affection.

Sasuke and Sesshomaru are sort of different though, in that Sasuke gradually grew apart from Naruto while Sesshomaru gradually grew closer to Inuyasha (as close as they can be). The rivalry seen between Naruto and Sasuke and Inuyasha and Sesshomaru could probably be seen in many other anime.

Another key difference is that in the end Sesshomaru comes out being the much stronger of the two, while we can assume that in Naruto, Naruto will probably end up being the stronger one.

Inuyasha is my second all-time favorite anime. HIGHLY recommended, but i agree with the op.
