Classic case of the idea behind being careful for what you wish for >> see I bet Kishi was reading these fansites and decided to throw in a cape as a fanservice! As for the colors..well..the japanese do have a different sense of style, and I think it's a nice tribute to both Jiraya and Minato at the same time. (Jiraya's colors, Minato's 'look')

I think it should have been black. But who knows, if Shippuden reaches this point, Kishi may change the color.

But I'm still happy about his cape and the scroll. I honestly couldn't care less about the color...just no pink or purple...santasmile

I tough about this, and it doesn't really matter because a lot of us read the manga in black and white meaning we won't even notice how ugly he is...

But I woud've prefered balck and red...^^
