~Chapter Start~
Three days have passes since the sealing of the Biju’s began. The once large Chakra dragons are now a lot smaller, with each passing moment they fade more and more. The eyes of the Gedo Mazo are now completely closed. Moments pass, the dragons fade into nothing, the ground shakes and a large roar is heard. The flesh of the 7 shinobi is completely burnt at their stomachs, all of them now unconscious, the smell of burning flesh fills the air.
Tobi: Looks like the sealing is complete
Madara: Yes, revenge will soon be ours.
*The two of them unclasp their hands and jump from the platform, they are both exhausted from the sealing, even Edo Madara shows signs of fatigue, his skin becomes more and more flakey. Both of them slowly shuffle out of the room.*
Tobi: Hmph, I would have loved to have seen the look on that Kyuubi brats face when he loses everything, it’s a shame.
Madara: We have had our time, unfortunately even we must leave this world at me point.
The two chuckle, walking off into the distance, they leave the sealing room, closing the door behind them.
The scene cuts back to the sealing room, all of the new jinchuriki lay on their tables, completely unconscious, the candles extinguish, the room fills with darkness.

The scene changes to Konoha, on the top of the Hokage mansion, the Hokage and the Jonin leaders have gathered. It is a windy day, leaves blow through the empty spaces on the roof.
Naruto: I spoke to you all the other day regarding the Chunin exams, I have given you time to think. My feelings have still not changed, I still cannot shake this feeling, are any of you going to remove your teams from the exams? If so, step forward, you will not be judged.
None of the Jonins move, all stand firm, refusing to change their minds.
Naruto: Very well, as some of you know, I will be placing extra security around the village, ninja from all five villages will do their best to protect your students. Be warned, I have spoken to the other Kage and if need be the exams will be cancelled without any prior warning.
The Jonin mutter to themselves, discussing the news.
Naruto: Thank you for gathering here, the exams will start a week from today, make sure your students are prepared. You are dismissed.
*All of the jonin disperse, on the roof stand Shikamaru and Naruto*
Shikamaru: So you still haven’t told me, what is going on.
Naruto: I am still unsure.
*Naruto clutches his stomach, over his seal.*
Naruto: Kurama senses the other Bijus are distressed, just a few moments ago I felt a shift, something bad is happening. I fear it could be Madara and Tobi’s doing.
Shikamaru: T… Thats impossible.
*Shikamru looks shocked, his eyes wide, sweat dripping down his face*
Shikamaru: You said it yourself after the war, Tobi was severely weakened and you didn’t think Madara’s Edo – Tensei would last much longer.
Naruto: I KNOW WHAT I SAID!
*Naruto lashes out in anger, his fist clenched, he is clearly worried, it is the first time he has lost his cool since becoming Hokage.*
Naruto: Sorry Shikamaru. For now we will have to wait it out, we cannot cancel the Chunin exams on a ‘hunch’.
*Shikamaru is clearly rattled, he has never seen Naruto this worried*
Shikamaru: Y…Yes Hokage – Sama.
The two of them walk back down the stairs into the office. Shikamaru picks up a pile of paperwork and takes it to Naruto’s desk.
Shikamaru: This is the final paperwork for the security of the Chunin exams, there is the list of the free Jonins who can patrol the areas. Also here are the Shinobi the other Kage have selected to help guard the village.
Naruto: Thank you, I will get started on that straight away.
*Naruto sighs*

Two days have passed since the sealing was complete, in the pitted area where the jinchuriki were chosen stands 7 Shinobi, all in their Biju cloak form. Around them lie thousands of mangled bodies and defeated wood clones created by Madara.
Tobi: Very good, you are quickly mastering control over your new Bijus, soon you will be ready. However…
Madara: from now on the Yokichi will be taking control of the group…
All of the shinobi looked up puzzled; they come out of their cloaked form, all but Yokichi. It seems unlikely that Madara and Tobi would forfeit control of their organisation willingly.
Tobi: Unfortunately we were severely weakened after the shinobi war, this is why we have assembled all of you. We are all alike, we all seek revenge on this cursed shinobi system. It is your destiny to fulfil what we could not.
Madara: We will take one last stand against the Kage. In just a few days Shinobi will gather from the 5 great nations to compete in the Chunin exams held in Konoha. It is here me and Tobi will attack.
Tobi: However, you will all remain here under Yokichi’s command training amongst yourselves, gaining full control over your new powers. This attack will not be for nothing, it will rattle the 5 Kage, strike fear into their villages, it will be your jobs to manipulate this fear, show no mercy.
Madara: However, let this be a word of warning, just because we will be gone, do not slack off, Yokichi is more than capable of punishing you, you would be foolish to try oppose him.
The six shinobi talk amongst themselves, discussing the news. Yokichi jumps up to the platform and walks off with Madara and Tobi.
Madara: the time has finally come, this will be your army from now own, we have trained you for this day knowing full well what will happen. Do not let us down.
Yokichi: Yes Madara – Sama, I will crush the villages.
Tobi: Do not be fooled, it will not be an easy task.
The 3 of them walk off into the darkness, finalising their plans.

Back in Konoha, Shinobi from the 5 great nations have gathered. There is not as much tension as in previous Chunin exams; shinobis from other villages greet each other, reminiscing about previous encounters. The atmosphere is a lot friendlier; some shinobis wear their joint shinobi head bands from the war around their neck as a sign of good will. They now have something in common, the pain they all felt during the war. Even the naïve genins, who did not experience war seem to be getting along with their peers from the other village.
Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, Shikamaru & Hinata are all gathered in Narutos office, despite the worry looming over Naruto, all of them are very cheery, with the exception of Sasuke, who is more like his usual emotionless self. They are clearly buzzing from the atmosphere around the village.
Naruto: It looks as though the last few shinobi will be arriving over the next couple of days along with the other Kage, I need the Jonins to be very friendly and set the example for the rest of the village, there must be minimal tension between us this exam, I cannot stress the importance of it.
Sakura: I will be helping some of the foreign ninja help develop their medical ninjustu, I can’t imagine there will any problems like you fear but just in case we will all be ready.
Sasuke: *Sigh* I have set up extra security around the village and will finalise the positions with the ninjas from other villages tomorrow.
Shikamaru: I have spoken to the majority of the team captains, everyone is aware of the risk of this chunin exams, they will be extra vigilant.
Naruto: Thank you very much, I will try to ensure you can all witness at least some of the exams, I appreciate the support. When this is over the Ramen is on me.
They all leave the room to witness the village filled with shinobi, the streets are crowded and the shops and stalls are buzzing. Even so late into the evening there is so much noise about the village.
