Its been 3 days since the day Naruto became the new Hokage, the village is still buzzing and numerous stalls and shops are still selling merchandise, even Ichiraku Ramen has named a dish after Naruto. A group of 5 young boys are playing football outside of Ichiraku, Sasuke and Sakura are walking down the street to report to naruto.
Sakura: Its hard to believe Naruto was once hated by all of these people, now nobody would dare say a bad workd about him.
Sasuke: I suppose the loser has worked hard for his dream
*Sakura chuckles to herself.*
Sakura: So the rivalry is still there, somethings never change.
Sasuke and Sakura approach the young children playing football, one child has a stray kick and kicks a ball right into the back of Sasukes head, he stands still and the children freeze in fear, a few people turn round to see what will unfold but sakura just stands there waiting for Sasuke.
*Sasuke picks up the ball crouches down and hands it to the children*
Sasuke: Be careful with this, the streets are packed lately and we don’t want any trouble in our own village.
*He stands up and walks towards Sakura, completely calm as though nothing had happened*
The kids go back to playing smiling and thanking sasuke as he walks off, the adults go back to their conversation, Teuchi, the ramen man watches on, deep in thought.
Teuchi * thinking*: Wow, looks like Naruto did end up getting through to him, he would have thwarted those kids if that had happened a few years back. I guess he has changed for the better, I may have to give him some free ramen next time.
*Teuchi gets back to work, a large queue is forming outside of his shop*
Sakura smiles to herself, thinking about the moment naruto finaly got through to his rival.
Flashback:
Sasuke is down on the floor, Madara’s Susanoo towers over him, its sword raised.
Madara: Time to die, young Uchiha. Its a shame, you had such talent.
His sword plunges down, Sasuke closes his eyes, expecting to die. A squelch is heard, the sound of his sword piercing skin and blood spilling. Sasuke opens his eyes to find Naruto with the sword through his shoulder, a clone comes up behind madara with a rasen shuriken , a severely wounded Tobi comes up behind madara and teleports him away.
Sasuke: WHAT HAPPENED? WHY DID YOU SAVE ME!?
Naruto: B..Because I consider you more than a friend, you are like a brother to me…. Madara & Tobi have retreated, both are seriously weakened, the war is over.
Sasuke sits there shocked, the thoughts of Itachi come flooding back, he remembers the times the two of them shared as brothers. He remembers Itachi’s final words as an Edo, wishing he would return to the village leading a regular life, not one filled with hate. He remembers the satisfaction when the two of them brought down Kabuto. He sits there for what feels like an eternity, pondering what he will do now the war appears to be over.
Sasuke: Hmph. This isn’t over, we still have to have our fight, this fight will decide both of our fates, prove to me I was wrong to leave the village, prove it is better to fight for someone else, but believe me I won’t hold back just because you saved me.
Flashback Ends.
*Sakura turns to Sasuke*
Sakura: Things really have changed
Sasuke: Yeah I suppose they have, I owe a lot to you and Naruto, but don’t dwell on it.
Sakura stands there shocked, it is the first time Sasuke has showed much Gratitude, Sasuke walks on, thinking about the final fight he had with Naruto, the moment he realised he was in the wrong.
Flashback:
Sasuke lies there on the floor, bleeding heavily, Naruto stands above him, also seriously wounded, but still managing a smile, the two of them of them are too tired to continue.
Naruto: Do you believe me now Sasuke, power comes from ones will, the want to do good, to protect your loved ones, you have become strong, but just not strong enough.
Sasuke stays quiet, unable to speak from his wounds, he just coughs up more blood, he begins to become weary, his eyes become heavy, he has lost a lot of blood, he passes out. When he regains consciousness he finds himself in the Konoha hospital, Sakura has tended to his wounds and even after everything that has happened next to him still sits next to heam, bandaged up as well, with a beaming smile of his face.
Flashback End
*He looks up with his shoulders back, he sees to birds flying, circling the sun, he glances up at the windows of the the Hokage mansion, he sees naruto looking up at the sky as well. Sasuke begins to laugh quietly to himself.*

The scene changes to the pit where the Shinobi were fighting, pools of blood fill the cage, it is scattered with corpses. 6 Shinobi remain, 2 women and 4 men, they stand there panting, all 6 of them look up to see Madara, Tobi and Yokichi looking down at them, amused. Madara releases the prison and as the pillars come down, they sweep the scattered bodies and limbs underground with them.
Yokichi: Well done to the 6 of you, you proved you were the stronges out of the recruits and as promised you will gain the power you desire, vengeance will be yours.
Madara makes a seal, a large wooden platform forms underneath the six of them, it raises them up to his level. Tobi eyes up the survivors, he looks shocked as he sees one of there faces.
Tobi: YOU? You were the person I expected to see least, hmph, this has gotten a lot more interesting.
Sakura: Its hard to believe Naruto was once hated by all of these people, now nobody would dare say a bad workd about him.

Thanks for reading, let me know what you think, hoping to release the next chapter soon, the build up is pretty much finished. I understand there was some long flashbacks with Sasuke, but I felt they were vital as I remember one comment saying I had Sasuke's attitude a little off, I thought I best explain how and why he changed, in my fanfic anyway
