Hashirama and tobirama don't belong here as what most people are suggesting for simple reason that hashirama was always fighting madara and tobirama was always fighting izuna. They probably didn't get as many chances to kill people as people here think.
Minato belongs a lot higher in this list simply because he didn't have a competitor in his era. Obito is number 1 though but minato comes 2nd i think and rest is about fine. Except sasuke belongs a lot lower here. He almost has no kill count other than zetsu and deidara and even then deidara killed himself.

Agreed. I do count Zetsus, Samurai and other stuff for Sasuke though. It's a shame that a lot of his enemies killed themselves but in Deidara's / Danzo's case they were already so defeated that they were forced to use a suicide tech. I'd say that counts.

I think Minato's fine where he is. I can't see him killing more than 10,000. No matter how feared he was in battle.

But no, Kishimoto doesn't babyfeed it's audience with entire explanations and context about a minor character. It was a quick panel of hype before a battle- ofc it would be impressive. It was telling a story from history- not explaining a protagonist's abilities lol.
