I didn't see guy get heal or obito, he just forced there soul from leaving their body or something of the sort.

It's due to the sun seal, the sun represents rebirth so it has natural healing properties. Gai was revived because Naruto in his original body could stabilize his chakra but in obito's case since he had the juubi, and the gedo mazou extracted from him he was going to die regardless, Naruto just slowed the process. The yang seal brings life and the yin seal amplifies abilities such as turning sasuke's chidori into black chidori so it is possible by using yin seal and yang seal creation of all things is possible.
