To be fair there were some legitimately strong (besides physically) female characters, but not enough was done with them. I thought Temari, was good, powerful and intelligent in her fights against Shikamaru and the sound four. But did almost nothing in part 2, I guess show launched some wind at Madara once. Konan was a compelling character with interesting motivations and abilities. She had a pretty bad ass final fight but didn't accomplish much and was killed off before more could be done with her. Anko also had an interesting back story, tormented by the curse mark an also had a very cool design and fun personality, and sadly she spent 90% of the final arc unconscious.

What an awesome thread. I truly mean it when I say that this thread has truly inspired me to do many things. After reading this thread, I suddenly feel inspired to go out there and travel the world and do something with my life. I thank you for the inspiration you’ve given me iand I cannot be more thankful. Tbh the show would’ve been so so so much better if they’d fleshed out the side characters and didn’t treat most of the women like tropes
