Naruto has NOT surpassed his Father yet

Why is everyone saying Naruto > Minato? I don't get that.
Although Naruto can find good strategies, Naruto's not the intellectual type like Minato.
Naruto needs to test and fail first. Minato would always think first before he goes in... and it usually works.

So Naruto has Sage Mode, Yes. BUT what good would that do you if you can't catch Minato?

Alright, so Naruto has his own Chakra Mode, yes. This is probably going to give regular Minato work 'cause Naruto's chakra mode looks like it's almost on par if not on par with Minato's FTG. They both dodged A's Lightning Straight... so Naruto actually has a chance of hitting him. I'll give Naruto props and equal him up to Minato, but Minato would still win in the end. All KCM Naruto has is Rasengan and it's variations and Minato could easily dodge that.
Minato >/= KCM Naruto

So I heard Naruto has a Bijuu Mode, yes? In that form, he seems like he can shoot out TBB's like it's nothin', but can you touch Minato with all that power? Nope. BM Naruto might be be faster and eventually able to hit Minato with Naruto's trial and error, but what if Minato decides to go into his Chakra Mode? It's over. With that he gains even more base speed, making his base speed superior to KCM/BM Naruto's and far superior to A's. Not to mention he still has his FTG Jutsu, which makes him even more powerful.
BM Naruto > Minato
KCM Minato > BM Naruto

The main problem is: What's good is all that power if you can't touch Minato let alone hit him?
Minato basically has a counter to Naruto's main attack: Tailed Beast Bomb. With his FTG Space Time Barrier.
No matter how fast it goes, Minato could still block it. Even if Naruto gets too close, Minato could just dodge his attacks. Naruto's close up attacks are only Rasengan. That's about it.
Minato should have no trouble dealing with Naruto. BUT he'd have to think through the whole match.
In terms of Raw power, Naruto's better at it, but overall, Minato wins this.

hmm all I know is that base minato>kcm naruto if you take raikage's word into account...since he battled minato multple times and should have an understanding of his power yet when he fought KCM naruto he still said that he believe minato will never be surpassed

KCM minato is probably equal to if not stronger than BM naruto, and if minato goes BM then I could see him holding his own against(not winning but fighting evenlyU_U) against the likes of edo madara and hashi..

so for me it goes like this...BM naruto>KCM minato>Base minato>=KCM naruto>SM naruto>base naruto

if minato gets BM I could easily see him becoming top 3 imoU_U

Naruto will surpass his father though, as that is one of the main themes of the series. (The new surpassing the old)
But for right now yes Minato wins, but I would say out of pure experience. We haven't seen all that either one can do yet, and if Minato is going to give the Kyuubi's other half of chakra to Naruto, then he will have probably surpassed him at that moment alone.

Kishi emphasised the fact that he did pretty hard. Naruto has more variety and just plain power. He's surpassed every single one of his elders (kakashi,killerbee,jiraiya,minato etc) and they always make it obvious that he's surpassed them, that's what the Raikage moment was made to symbolise.
