Naruto has a huge flaw

The vast majority of Naruto's techniques rely on either sage mode, tailed beast mode, or shadow clones. Other than that he has some taijutsu and some kunai to throw around but that's it!

I was rewatching Danzo's last battle and I realized that Naruto has an affinity for wind style, so why doesn't he learn real ninjutsu? the only real ninjutsu he has is kage bunshin and rasengan(+variants). He COULD have all the ninjutsu techniques that Danzo and Asuma had... but he doesn't

Yes that is the thing i really hate about the show,besides sage mode(he really did earn that) without tailed beast he is crap,same with every other unearned ability like sharingans.I really was about to quit reading/watching the show if naruto didn't learn a new attack soon,but then he learned the wind rasangen thing so i kept watching.He as a ninja is really disappointing and dull without 9 tails.

Because he isn't to great in ninjutsu and genjutsu. He just has a lot of stamina and chakra so the little he can do he can do them on large scales which cause a lot of damage. But recently he has improved in taijutsu and has more variations of rasengan

I think what he meant is why naruto only really has Shadow clone and rasengan.Its really boring throughout a lot of his fights.Just shadow clone!!!All the clones die and BOOM RASENGAN!!!!!!!!That really was most of his fights.

I mean Rasengan is OP in itself, he just throws people if he needs long-range attacks, and now he has TBB, so he has a long-range Ninjutsu. So Naruto is covered mid-long range and close-range, so he is fine in my book.

Yeah! I totally agree! Same is the case with Sakura! She is genjutsu type and all she does is dispell the genjutsu not casting it. She only destroys landscapes! I don't hate Sakura but Kishi needs to power up Sakura and Naruto!

nah man...op has a point....i kinda want naruto to have base strength that isnt based on his spamming abilities....or phase changing modes....itd be nice to see naruto fight without going into a phase change mode...geez give the kid some fuuton abilites that arnt a rasengan...or give him more shape manipulation abilities that dont automatically become a rasengan...how about....being able to add shape manipulation to his kunai or shuuriken? just a thought...

i kishi is done with sakura/ and now is only focusing on sasuke and naruto:shrug:

Basically, what I mean is that he is a fine character the way he is now. His fighting style is very successful, it just could be more interesting.

I see your point, but why bother learning a lot of jutsu when you know some of the best already? You may as well complain about 95% of the shinobi that haven't been shown to use more than 5 techniques.
