In times of weakness, Harry could call upon Voldemort's soul to help him... He also had to be careful because Voldemort's soul tries to control him...

Naruto is taken under the tutelage of wise, grey-haired Master Jiraiya (one of the strongest shinobi) who comes to an unfortunate end... the person that kills Jiraiya is a person that who also has a close bond with Jiraiya. Jiraiya also puts all of his faith in Naruto.

Harry is claimed by the prophecy to be the one who will end the reign of the Dark Wizard, thus elimanting Hatred.
Naruto is claimed by the prophecy to be the one who will bring peace to the world(by defeating a lot of bad guys), thus elimanating Hatred.

Harry does not finish schooling and Hogwarts due to having to fight.
Naruto does not rank past Genin due to having to train to fight.
