Naruto had so much potential

To be fair, the series is called Naruto, so it makes sense why Kishi wanted to primarily focus on Naruto and the closest people to him

700+ chapters and 17 years and still only halfway through without a solid plot.
Not necessarily a good thing especially considering the story of Naruto was never intended to be as large as One Piece and Kishimoto has a family.
Believe or not, Kishimoto doesn't write just to write. His story is about Naruto and Sasuke not the Naruto version of the Mugiwara and co.

@bold - I sometimes wonder if people get that.

Exactly the people he grew up with his friends like Shino nd ect had no development

I said him and people CLOSEST to him. Team 7, Jiraiya, Kurama, etc.

Those people were his friends, but they don't come as close as many other people throughout the series. That's why each of them got a significant amount of development, but definitely not as much as others who were much closer to Naruto

its not like kishi is on nb like no, they're hating on me

we can say what we want when we want, this is an anime forum, i can stay here and criticize the manga as much as i want

people are entitled to there opinions but some people go to far

That's the problem all I hear is everybody criticizing him constantly. Like this "Dang Kishi gave Kakashi DMS that makes no sense no logic " or "Madara being fodderized by Black Zetsu is a plot hole" sh-t like that gets me pissed. Give the guy a break and enjoy what we have.

He could have but he didn't want to it could have been waay better than One Piece if he developed more characters that he developed good imo were

But thats why the Anime is better than the manga it gives more development and screentime too other chars

totally agree with this , alot of characters had potential but kishi decided to just **** ride Naruto and sasuke

Specially Sasuke, Kishi really liked Uchihas, he restricted characters like Kakashi, Neji and Lee a lot they never got to fully develope their abilities, Naruto was a little plot restricted too
