Jiraiya was busy picking up the ladies and had no time for a failure like Naruto.
Until, of course, he is confronted by Naruto and realises Naruto's true strength, only then does he even bother with him. I don't even know why Naruto wasted tears on this guy, too busy picking up women and not having any time for his lonely little godchild.

That's disrespectful. Jiraiya was gathering info on Orochimaru and Akatsuki. Naruto was the reason he returned in the first place.

No, it's called being a weak pushover. I'm ostracized by my fellow villagers and told to not hang out with the young kids by their parent. I'm a small victim of being bullied just because I am different from everyone else. I not only have the hate of the villagers and the kids, but also my former teacher who is supposed to love all students.

I turn around a few years later, get stronger and save the village from the biggest threat to ever hit the leaf and you want to praise and respect me? Apparently I'm the pathetic one as you want me to take your hand and treat you like nothing happened all because you're a weak fodder who needed to be rescued.

Weak people respect strong people. The fodder villagers who disrespected and trashed Naruto before now respect the Naruto who got stronger and saved them. If you obviously don't see anything wrong with that picture that you are nothing but an ignorant little boy.

so, forgiving someone and overcoming insults is being a weak push over????

by your logic, if naruto insulted the village, he would be falling to their level which is what you define as ''weak people''

once again proving my point, weak minded are those who can't overcome

nope, that's strong willed, it's strong willed to forgive, it's strong will to move on,

only a weak minded person falls short in overcoming something,

I myself is a very forgiving person. I'd just dislike being treated like a best friend or a brother. I mean act normal towards me or apologize. But going too far like "Oh savior, I never doubted you one bit" if just a lie and trying too hard to get close. I'd get something sensible as "I'm sorry I let my kids away from you in the past" or "Thanks for saving us" but nope, some shinobi had to try to get close "we're your homies ain't we homeboy?" is simply like I said above, fake.

I'd agree forgiving and overcoming overall, just not the fake behavior towards, that's just too much.

Man, you're a Dumbass, who said anything about insulting the village? That's not my point. My point is that if the villagers wanted to welcome Naruto with praise and open arms then Naruto should have at least asked them why they are so lovey dovey now? Surely Naruto should have noticed why the villagers are acting like this now all of a sudden. Anyone with common sense would stop and ask themselves, why I'm being treated like this after all, "I am the nine Tails Jinchuriki" ,but Naruto didn't ask himself that. It would have made questions and put the fodder Shinobi on the spot. Naruto just accepted their offer without even questioning their quick 360 degree turn.

The villagers who hated Naruto in the past are selfish. And to make matters wore the villagers didn't even apologize for what they did to him. Naruto is a fool for acting like nothing happened and just letting it go.

May I also add one of the reason I respect Shikaku and Shikamaru as characters a lot is because when every parent at the academy and playground told their child to stay away from "it", Shikaku told Shikamaru he can go about him as he pleases, and Shikamaru was never one of those people that would bully or insult him.

Agreed m8!!

Nope, being weak minded would be like leaving the village and seeking power like Orochiamru and Sasuke.

Having enough sense to not talk to fake people who just likes you for what you did is not weak minded.

I guess by your logic, people who use you and only like you for your stuff should be your friends. Lol

It was necessary for the enemies of Minato not to know that his son exists.
Jiraiya was assure that Naruto is safe in the village in third hokage's care.
Also they all know(whoever were taking care of Naruto indirectly) that Naruto will have to face some hardships and he must overcome them by himself.

Apparently you havent read the manga properly:

1. Naruto worked years for the acknowledgement of the villagers, that is the basis of his early 'I want to be Hokage' dream .... So I dont think he would be surprised to have what he was working for.

2. If u had actually read the manga: the Confining the Jinchūriki Arc made it clear that Naruto actually had doubts and grudges at his heart regarding the villagers ... that is the why the Dark Naruto existed. But like Bee he simply embrased it and didnt want to make it apparent.

He obviously had someone. Who would change his diapers and feed him?

I agree. Someone should have taken him in. But that would serve plot development as much as the orphan of a hero who saved his village but is hated by everyone.

He had Iruka and the Third Hokage. Said Hokage is obviously the reason he had a free-roof over his head, food and drink before he could start earning his keep.

And if Naruto asks them why what would that change?. The villagers aready knew their faults so there was no reason for Naruto to asking again.

How is Naruto a fool. Infact this just shows how strong and matured he is since he knew asking then wouldn't have Changed anything in the past.

Only weak and whinny people still think and concentrate on the past instead of the future.

The fodders were very stupid and was just scared of Kurama.

now that naruto rescued them from pain they want to ride his cocktails like a weak little woman. Its disgusting.

If I were Naruto I would have told them to fck off. You treat me like shit for years and then love me after I protect your ass. btch plz.

That's a good response.

"When I did nothing you insulted me and stayed away from me."
"When I did something you started acting like I'm your best friend."
Pathetic.

(This is not in any way directed to you, it's to Konoha and some phonies.)

Dark Naruto pretty much said the same thing you guys said.

Well, if you want to blame Naruto's loneliness on someone then you should blame Minato. Of course he is not all to blame, but he was the one to wish that no one, but the adults knew about the incident involving his son. He was also the one to put the Kyubi in his son, all because he thought that Naruto could control it. Pretty selfish and inconsiderate. Of course, like I said before, this is not all Minato's fault as the adults knew what happened, and yet they insisted on acting like children. Hiruzen was even worse about it, as he tried to keep it a secret following Minato's words. He was also a terrible hokage as he did nothing to help Naruto when he was lonely. He didn't try to talk or even tell the villagers to stop when they were out of line. He just made some stupid rule stating that no one could talk about the Kyubi and that Naruto has it sealed within him. That very notion alone just makes everything worse. Of course keeping it a secret would allow Naruto to have friends his own age, but this would also signify if his classmates would be willing to accept him for him, and not turn away like the villagers did, like he was some random beast or something. Even during Tsuande's reign, it seemed like more and more people accepted Naruto for who his is. Tsuande actually supported Naruto and even stood up against the elders when they tried to lock Naruto away. This is why Danzo, Hiruzen and the elders are scum. Truly, the only person who has been mature about the whole situation involving Naruto's childhood loneliness is Kakashi, Jiraiya and the other adults who actually didn't badmouth him like Asuma and Kurenai.

If Minato was alive witnessing the villagers rude and atrocious behavior involving Naruto, I'm pretty sure that he would not be pleased or approve of it. The only thing that upsets me about all of this is that, despite the adults and civilians knowing who Naruto is and who his father is, despite having a Jinchuriki sealed within him, they still act like 3 year old children. It makes me sick. They obviously have or had no respect for the Fourth Hokage and Kushina who actually wished for their son to have a peaceful and endearing life. In my eyes the villagers are selfish scum who doesn't deserve to be forgiven by Naruto.

Konoha as a whole is a trash and disgraceful village, but it's not only the Leaf. The Cloud, which had Bee and the cold heart villagers that detested and despised him as well. Unlike Naruto, Bee didn't give a fck or care about the acknowledgment of the villagers. Gaara also had it bad (way worse than Naruto and Bee). Gaara and his hellish life with the sand. Later on becoming Kazekage and receiving the support of the village and the people. It all comes back to my point with Naruto. The villagers and civilians only respect and praise Gaara now because he got stronger and protected them. All the great nations in general consist of ignorant pieces of filth that only support someone when they themselves are weak and need to be protected. Where I'm from that's called being fake.

Naruto soon started to get closer to people and make friends. Iruka sensei, even if deep down he was iffy of Naruto, knowing that it was the Kyubi to kill his parents. He soon met Kakashi, Sasuke and Sakura, along with his other classmates to fill the void. Naruto might have been lonely, but unlike the other weak villagers, at least there were some people who actually tried to take a chance with Naruto.
