If you mean that they are all happy go lucky, then yes, they have the same basic personality. Main Shonen characters tend to be super happy and excited or depressed/plotting/introverted. In your examples' case, it is the former

It's shounen jump what do you expect ? Most shounen jump MC's tend to be airheads, childish have big apetites and ridicilously strong. It's something that Shounen Jump does and has been going on since forever. Also I second what Caliburn said all of those characters are based on Goku. The mangaka of Attack on Titan offered his work to be published in the weekly Shounen Jump, he was advised to modify his style and story to be more suitable for Weekly Shōnen Jump. He declined, wich was a good idea otherwise we would've gotten a naruto-fied Eren Jaeger (MC of Attack on Titan). This is what shounen jump does.

Then you'd be defying the shounen logic lol. Main Character never dies.... And It would be odd to let the side character take over the roll of the Main character. Thats really not how shounen works.

in think its your whos wrong, what would be the whole point of the story, if you automatically knew that the main character would win in the end. thats what made dbz awesome because it didnt just evolve around goku, since he died before. but it evolved around many fighters as well. what editors look for is what makes the manga interesting not what makes it generic and more predicting. but even then my point is if the manga was shonen and it made into shonen jump, and then after the main character death, it continued with the side character becoming the main character, would shonen jump somehow will have to find a time machine and reverse all the issues that the printed out, because the manga no longer follows the shonen jump rules? lol
or would the editor refuse to accept? well then what will happen to the fanbase? what would happen to the anime? if manga stops in mid segment without never being finished?
