If I may, when I saw that, "I dislike Madara... If the alternitive is being controlled by him... I choose you!" line, I instantly thought of Pokemon.
Kyuubi: Naruto, I choose you!!!!
Which is ironic, because the Kyuubi is the one trapped in a cage, not Naruto.

Anyways, did anyone else make that connection? Any other Pokemon fans who thought the same way I did when they read that?

Wrong, Kabuto, after eating Orochimaru's cells or something, started killing random ninja, as we already saw in the manga, he killed till he reached lvl 40 where he evoled into Kabutops and went to the Akatsuki gym to challenge Leader Madara
