Naruto Filler Hell, PII

FYI more than half of all Naruto episodes are filler. Over 250+ filler that's about 5 years worth lmao

I personally hate fillers and think that they destoryed the anime for me (all though I still wait it out for the real ones). What do you guys think of filler? Lemme open a poll...

If a anime has fillers, then thats it. It kinda kills the seriousness and tension of the anime for me and I just keep watching it ready to skip boring parts. As the Naruto plot gets more and more interesting, the animation gets worse.

imo for such a popular anime as Naruto, the makers could put more work into the animations, battles, etc. Instead wasting their time and potential on making fillers. I'd rather have to wait a month for one hella epic episode then having to cope with a weakly release of a filler arc

If they actually put an effort in the filler episodes like the earlier fillers in part 2, and not just bullshitted them out there for us, then I wouldnt mind them. A perfect example is episode 101 (part 1), a filler episode, and yet still one of my all time favorites.

But the thing that really annoys me is the fact that sometimes they combine cannon material with filler episodes, so sometimes you CANT skip the filler if you really want to watch only canon material.

I get that, I really do, it's just that when you have over 30+ hours of kid Naruto and Iruka it kinda drives me insane @_@

If they were cool fillers like Ninja's on real missions then that would be legit. Itachi in Anbu, Minato going on missions, etc

Fillers are necessary, if it wasn't for them the anime would reach the manga in no time and then there would be no episodes at all. And we all know the timeslot must be filled with something, so it is either fillers or seasonal reruns. Personally I prefer the fillers.
By the way, not all fillers are bad. Since they are unavoidable I try to give them a chance, maybe it is something I will enjoy, you never know. If I like the premise I watch it to end. If not, well, I skip it. But at least I try to watch them before complaining.
While it is true some fillers are downright awful, sometimes they do a good job. The Fire Guardians and Three-Tails arcs had formidable characters and plotlines while Adventures at Sea and Stories of Konoha were just terrible. I'm happy they dropped the multiple one-shot episodes filler formula and went back to writing actual arcs, maybe something good will come out.

Well right now we're going to have good fillers since it's about the seven ninja swordsmen of the mist. Then there will be a 6 filler arc called the chikara force filler arc.
