Naruto fans killed Obito

If I had to blame anyone or anything, it would have to be the Naruto fans


Kakashi is a fan favorite just like Gai


Which is why Gai was not killed off even though Kishi set up a perfect way for him to go ride off in the sunset


Kishi was afraid of the backlash he would receive from killing off Gai and it would be much greater if Kakashi had died


Essentially, the Naruto fans killed Obito because they wanted Kakashi to live. Kishi understood that because Kakashi is a very popular character.


If Kakashi and Gai were not fan favorites, they would have been dead in their respective moments

No Kishi made Obito die because it completed his character development. By saving Kakashi again it essentially brought him full circle. Theres no better reason IMO.

Obito has no place in the world after they defeat Kaguya. Kakashi however, has already died once. And i think he still has a role to play. No point in killing him off again.
