I found this article on Saiyanisland, and just because it's Christmas I'll post what the article says here so you guys don't have to do all the tiring clicking work.
Here is it:

Naruto ending in 2014, could it be true? Maybe, maybe not! This past weekend the 2014 Jump Festa took place in Japan. This is an annual, joyous event held by Shueisha (the Japanese publisher of Shonen Jump) celebrating all of our favorite Jump heroes in the form of anime, manga, video games, toys, and more.

Naruto author Masashi Kishimoto was on hand as part of a Naruto panel. There have been rumors and Internet chatter that Kishimoto-sensei mentioned Naruto ending in 2014, but we at Saiyan Island will put an end to that and say it’s false! We’ve been researching the issue and from what we’ve found is Kishimoto-sensei mentioned that he may not be at Jump Festa next year. Reports have him passively mentioning this upon his entrance and then also jokingly as a response to Shippuden voice actors teasing him about doing some voice acting at next year’s panel. Somehow that’s been twisted into Naruto ending in 2014.

Now, at Jump Festa, Kishimoto-sensei did mention the story is coming closer to the end and on Japanese television show Sakiyomi Jan BANG, there was a quote from him saying Naruto is at it’s final phase, but he never mentions when Naruto will actually come to a conclusion.

At a first glance, it looks like the Naruto manga ending is soon, but after thinking about it, there are still many questions that need to be answered. How will Madara be defeated? How did he survive after Hashirama defeated him in the first place? What about the Edo Hokage, how will they part after the war? What about Orochimaru, he is still interested in Sasuke, what will happen with him? Why does each Sharingan user have a different design? Will the Leaf Village learn the truth about Itachi and honor him? How about Kabuto, what happened to him after his defeat? Will he reunite with his orphan brother, Urushi? And ah yes, there is still the matter of being Hokage – Naruto vs Sasuke – who, if either, will come out on top and how? Those are just the answers we are looking for here at Saiyan Island, we’re sure there are others.

In Naruto’s 14 year history, there have been an average of about 47 chapters a year. Is that really enough time to answer all of our questions and give the series a proper ending, especially since the 2014 cycle of manga has already begun? Shonen Jump issue 04-05 2014 was released in Japan just a few days ago.

Also, if Naruto ending in 2014 were true, why would the author not be at Shueisha’s biggest party? Naruto is one of the most popular series in their arsenal of manga. Fans would surely have a lot of questions and want to see the man who just finished telling one of the all time great stories.

Naruto ending in 2014 – maybe it’s possible, maybe it’s not. We think the series could go into 2015, but we could be wrong. One thing is for certain – while we are in the final phase of the manga, at this point there is no official word on when this great series will end. We’ll be sure to keep you up-to-date with the latest right here on Saiyan Island!

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the link to another website. However, it is Christmas afterall, so I might aswell...

We already have juubi and 2nd sage of 6 paths, the story has no more progression then that. Its exhausted already, all thats left is madara beating, sasuke fighting naruto for the sake of it and orochimaru cant surpass madara even if he take possession of him. So yeah 2014 it is.

52 weeks in a year with every Naruto manga traditionally being released on an early Wednesday means 52 manga chapters coming up in the 2014 year. Barring any double chapters or releases with 30 pages.

I'm on the fence. 52 chapters at a glance seems pretty small, but it does cover a lot of ground. What was 52 chapters ago? Just after Tobi's mask was unveiled and the story in his perspective was told. That's quite a bit away, in fact, the anime will cover that soon.

This makes sense since 45 chapters isn't long enough to conclude the manga. We also need to know what the fate of the shinobi world as well as the bijuu will be. Also all the pairing wars will be finalized within the last twenty or so chapters which means there will be a period in the manga right before the end where there are no fights.

On the contrary, in the beginning of 2013, it was mentioned by Kishi that the manga will go on for another 1.5-2 years so he basically claimed the manga would end somewhere in 2014. But the manga's pace is too slow and Kishi's been doing a lot to extend it.

I didn't say this, the article said it. The sooner Naruto ends, the better it is for me since I believe this series has been dragging on for way too long, and it has become something that it should not have.

But I still decided to share this since it's Christmas, and I know that there are huge Naruto fans out there that still enjoy the series alot so the "rumor" going around might have made some fans worried.

Good share. I hope they make kishi aproved anime fight that we would love to see, like hanzo vs sannins, jiraya vs orochimaru. how hashi died, tobirama vs fodders lol, elder brothers, PRIME HIRUZEN FFS. etc.
So we still may explore stuff kishi skipped over, but that about it.

Saiyan Island is only speculating that it won't end in 2014. The truth is that many of the things that they claim we "need" to see are not actually necessary to end the manga.

If my comprehension is still ok at 3:02 AM then the article says how Saiyan Island looked deeper into the situation and found out that there was never a direct statement from Kishimoto that the manga will end in 2014. He has mentioned how the series is slowly reaching the end, but he has never stated that it will end 2014, and as the article said how there's still quite a few things we need to cover: How did Hashirama die? ...

It all depends on how Kishi plans on pacing this story of his. So far, it's been relatively slow for me so it just might last til 2015. But he's been drawing things out too long for me as well, I hope he speeds up the pacing and ends it in 2014. He can cover a lot of ground in 47 chapters, it all depends on how he plans on pacing things. Though with so many unfinished business in the manga, I wouldn't be surprised if it lasted til 2015

Hmm i agree with sayianisland. 50 chapters isn't enough to conclude,

-Madara
-The sage's past
-The war and bringing peace
-naruto vs Sasuke
-naruto becoming hokage
-loose ends.

So i see the manga going to near 2015 or the start of 2015 actually.

There is still alot we need to read about. and btw if you check other forums back in 2008, they all keep saying naruto will end next year, and btw he is making really good money on Naruto, noway he would stop writing it, because he is "tired" of it lmao.

-Madara & Juubi
- SO6P
-The Uchiha curse (most important thing to bring peace)
-After the war, they are going to build the cities again ect.
-Orochimaru (capable of edo's still big threat)
-Naruto vs Sasuke
- other stuff along the way, fun parts whatever khisimoto feels like

Well if it doesn't end in 2014 then 2015 it is. Like people above me said, it all depends on pacing, but at the same time it's clear that the story is reaching its conclusion. I doubt there will be a whole entire arc about Oro after the war, for example. And "loose ends" can be handled through an epilogue like in FMA.

I just hope we don't get a Deadman Wonderland-like ending where
everyone lives happily ever after
.
