I think you're just reading into Madara's power a bit too much.
Controlling a tailed beast and being more powerful than a tailed beast are different. Kurama cannot truly be killed, since he can be revived. Meaning that Kurama is technically battle-immortal like Orochimaru, except Kurama does not need a Cursed Seal with his subconscious in another individual to revive.

Yet Manda was an ideal summon for Orochimaru to fight off two Sannin and their respective summons. You mean to tell me that Sasuke possesses the power to fight two Kage-level summons and the Sannin during that point in the manga? He MAY be able to pull if off now, but back then he sure as hell couldn't. But by your logic, he could.
Edo Madara has infinite chakra, which Kurama does not have. Kurama has a "near infinite" amount, but it still has a set amount. Madara is not bound by chakra like Kurama is, but my guess is that he can only pump so much chakra into his techniques because he hasn't adapted to his new chakra level.
In life, Madara did not have infinite chakra or an undying body. And he cannot use the Meteor Technique with his EMS because it requires the Rinnegan. Since the topic is EMS Madara and not Rinnegan Madara, this is a different story.
