Naruto would die or let himself be killed if it was for peace. He was willing to die just to stop Sasuke from being evil. If he would do it for one person he would certainly do it for all of the villages sake. If the choice came up Naruto would accept death if it meant everyone could live in peace.

In Japanese and Chinese cinema many of the main characters die. The same happens in anime and manga too. It's not impossible just maybe unlikely in this case. But you never know. Maybe Kishi is sick of Naruto after 10+ years and wants to cut off the possibility of ever going back to it.
