Covering up a genocide is never right. Arguing that it shouldn't be released because it will do nothing is an oxymoron. No one that fears a repercussion from telling the truth will withhold said truth. If the massacre were so easy to get over, it wouldn't have been hidden from the beginning, intended to be hidden forever.

Konoha used the Uchiha up and threw them away like trash. No one is arguing that the village is destroyed, but if revealing the truth does nothing then why not reveal it? It shouldn't bother anything right? A truth that vile would destroy many things. If I were Naruto, I'd never want to be the Hokage of a bunch of spoiled cretins who segregated the founding clan of the village and treated a little kid like shit, knowing the kid wasn't actually the nine-tails. Konoha is a village of garbage.

You are putting words in my mouth. I never said that revealing this would do nothing. I said that it would do nobody any good. It has the potential to do plenty of bad though.

What makes it worse, is that the chaos this would cause would only harm innocent people. All of the people who had a hand in the Uchiha's persecution and eventual massacre are long dead. This means that if any harm or punishment came to Konoha, then none of the actual villains of the situation would be affected. Meanwhile, random civilians who have no involvement or even knowledge of the Uchiha's plight would have to suffer. The same goes for kids like Boruto's generation who weren't even born.

I don't know about you, but I don't believe in punishing babies simply for being born in the same village as some corrupt leaders who died decades before their birth.

Let me ask you this: Let's say that I know a German kid. He is about 20 years old right now. Should he be killed or imprisoned because he was born in Germany, where Adolf Hitler killed many innocent people several decades ago?
