Yeah, Naruto's own chakra has changed; he now has Tailed Beast chakra, whether or not they are actually within him. However, he still has half of Kurama.

Naruto's training with Tailed Beast chakra involved actual skill; sharing Kurama's chakra with the Shinobi Alliance is a very impressive feat. Naruto also became very skillful with manipulating chakra in general, as seen with his use of chakra arms (which he controls).

Naruto can probably perform the same type of "Bijuu Mode" as Ashura, anyway, even without half of Kurama. We'll see. So far, he's only show massive chakra arms, which do not resemble a Bijuu hand, but instead appear human.

Naruto also seems to have gained chakra since he first learned Sage Mode; he threw a massive Rasenshuriken at Edo Madara just before Madara was revived, and that was while Kurama was recharging and Naruto was only in Sage Mode.

Now Naruto is learning to use the Gudoudama; once again, a new type of chakra, and difficult chakra manipulation. Regardless of how Naruto obtained this power, it is a new skill that he is quickly mastering.

Basically, Naruto has become top-tier in terms of handling / manipulating all forms of chakra. That's why he's a natural as a Sage / Jinchuuriki: his entire skillset has evolved around taking advantage of these unique chakra traits and using them in harmony.

Naruto has become far more skillful in the war.
