I just saw another thread where people were constantly saying that Naruto did not earn his power or that it is not his. To this I must say:
1. Even if many other people could be Kurama's jinchuuriki, that doesn't mean that they could beat him in a fight and take his chakara. Therefore Naruto earned KCM. He actually won it.
2. Do you really think everyone could successfully befriend Kurama? I don't think so. That is a bond that Naruto worked to forge. He earned it through his sheer kindness and perseverance. Therefore, he earned BM. This means that it is his power.
3. You do remember that not everyone can even be a jinchuuriki in the first place? Your body has to be compatible and be able to handle the beast.
4 This one is big: Many of you people constantly just glorify Hiruzen. What have we really seen from him though? The answer: Fire style, Enma, mud wall, Enma, shuriken jutsus, Enma, reaper death seal, Enma, pure hype and Enma. Did I forget to mention Enma? Enma is the main thing that we have seen Hiruzen use this entire series, but people praise him to no end! Enma is clearly another whole life form, but that doesn't seem to stop the Hiruzen fans. You prime Hiruzen fans may say something like "he knew all jutsu in Konoha". Yet, for some ridiculous reason he chose to throw mere shuriken at 10 tails Obito (a battle where his age didn't matter since he was an edo with infinite chakara). "He has neutralizer jutsu", says the Hiruzen fan. Tell me then, why he didn't negate any of the tailed beast bombs (from the one that Minato warped to the quadruple bijuudamas), or Obito's Onmyodon. The fact of the matter is: The third coffin didn't come up because Minato's soul wasn't in the pure world. This is manga validated by Kabuto, whereas your "neutralizer jutsu" has no manga validation. Show me a databook page that talks about this "neutralizer jutsu". I am getting off topic. The point is: It's hypocritical to bash Naruto and say that he did not earn his power, but give Hiruzen all of this credit.
5. Some people say stuff like "It took Jirayia years to be able to use sage mode and Naruto mastered it in a day". To that I say: People learn things at different rates. Just because one person is slow doesn't mean the other is.
6. Some of you argue that Naruto was not born with Kurama. This may be true, but he still earned his modes via the methods that I mentioned in the first few points. As I said before, not everyone can gain these modes even if they are Kurama's jinchuuriki. Do you think Kiba could get these modes if he were Kurama's jinchuuriki. I don't think so. As far as we know, Kushina and Mito did not have these modes. Therefore Naruto did earn these. Excuse him if he wasn't born with the ability to awaken super eyes! Think of it like money: If you just happen to be born with the ability to grow money under your arm pits, that's great. That doesn't mean that the money that random Joe (who does not have this ability) earns is not his!
7. Did any Sasuke fans think about the fact that Sasuke's sharingan (I am not even talking about EMS) was a "free power up" by you guys' logic. Sasuke technically awakened it during the Uchiha massacre. He just fainted and didn't remember it until much later. Anyway, he did not awaken it during training. He just felt the pain of Itachi killing the clan. If you think about it, all sharingan awakenings up until EMS and rinnegan are technically free power ups so to speak. This is because you just need to lose love and feel enough pain to awaken them. This is verified by Tobirama. Despite this, I don't see anybody criticising the sharingan as unearned power. Lets not even get started with byakugan.
Conclusion: Naruto could not help that he was given Kurama, but the modes he got were due to his actions. He also trained to get sage mode. Discuss.
