The Prophecy was a dream by an old ass toad about what he saw was going to happen in the future. It was the vaguest ****ing prophecy ever. "A ninja trained by jiraiya will bring great change to the ninja world, either Destruction or Salvation" Or something along those lines Now there is a difference between a Fortune telling and Pre written destiny that is unavoidable. Since the prophecy was basically a coin toss, it was up to the 3 Childs of the "TOADS DREAM" to CHOOSE their destiny. It wasnt stated by the toad that, "A young idiotic knucklehead shinobi by the name of naruto uzumaki the 10th incarnation of Ashura will change the world with the power of his friends and handwork, thus uniting the shinobi world" It was more like, Oh hey jiraiya BTW One of your students is gonna make a huge impact on the world, i can see the future but barely so idk if it'll be good or bad. Exactly. People take Gamamaru too seriously, when he's just a crackpot who came up with the whole "Child of the Prophecy" crap while he was high.

Well think about it, the chapters are only about 10-15 mins in real time. Naruto controlled the Nine tails in less than an hour or so, he trained for a few weeks with sage mode. He got bijuu mode mid battle, and he just woke up from his 30 min power nap with Sage blessings. Kishis not bad with time. Its barely been a year and a half since naruto got back to the hidden leaf village. And his birthday is still technically "tomorrow" In his time line lol This has just been one hell of a half-week for the ninja world.

He was even wrong that it was two CoPs who saved the village if I remember correctly.

Naruto being the child of prophecy still doesn't negate all the hard work he's done. He could've just said to himself screw it I'm not doing any training after he heard he was destined to be special, and then he would be a whole different person today. He could've literally changed the prophecy. There is two paths to this prophecy after all.

I even remember some episode where he said he could even be wrong. Sometime during Narutos sage training I believe.

A prophecy is like seeing a premonition. It's like seeing into the future. Anyone that can see into the future would see a certain outcome, but that doesn't mean that the destiny was given to Naruto, it's more like seeing what he would achieve and that all depends on what Naruto did to achieve that peace.

You guys mistake a prophecy for some destiny-tied thing that's been given to someone before birth, when all it is is seeing into someone's future. If someone did something different in his life, the outcome would be different and the future-seeing person would see something different. So it all depends on what the person does to achieve that outcome.

His destiny is to be the child of prophecy. Nothing to do with hard work with that. Even if he's lazy, he still one
