Hey NB i came up with a variation of the standard chess game addding a few pieces with the names of some of the characters of naruto, let me explain how this works:
1.The black pieces are the akatsuki side and the whites pieces are the good side during war arc.
2.The number of pieces per side will be 16 as usual but instead of each side having a king and a queen i switched them for pieces of some characters.
3.The chessboard will be exactly the same
New pieces:
White pieces
Naruto will take the place of the white king and will move like a bishop but this naruto piece will copy the movements of pieces it takes down, if naruto takes down a pawn, it will start moving like a pawn until it takes down another piece to copy its movements, also this piece every 10 turns (5 turns white pieces and 5 black) will be able to summon 2 pawns to simbolize kage bushins, as long as the number of pieces of the white side doesnt exceed 16 and this pieces will be summon right next to naruto piece, but the pawns can only be summoned if naruto piece is on its side of the chessboard therefore the pieces will only be summon on their side of the chessboard.
Sasuke will take the place of white queen and will move just like the queen to simbolize his powerful susanoo.
Kakashi is a piece that can be summoned once a pawn gets to other end of the board and will move like a pawn but also will be able to take down other pieces from a distance of 2 spaces as long as they are in a straight line with kakashi(not diagonals) just like kamui snipe, also using this power will make kakashi piece unavailable to even move for 2 turns representing the toll on kakashi after using kamui snipe.
Black pieces
Obito will take the place of the black king and the way Obito piece will move is just like a rook but also Obito will be able to pass through or leap over a max of 3 pieces in the same move to represent obito's intangiblity, making obito a piece hard to catch, also any piece taken down with obito cant be brought back to represent when obito catches his enemies in kamuiland.
Madara will take the place of the queen and also will keep the movements of the queen to represent madara's might with a mighty piece.
The juubi or ten tails will be a piece that will be unlock when a pawn reaches the other end of the board,the juubi moves like the king, but this piece can only be unlock if either madara or obito are still playing, the juubi needs at least one of them to be unlock, if madara and obito are taken down the juubi cant be unlock. Also the juubi can only be taken down by Naruto and sasuke pieces attacking it at the same time. Also the juubi will kill a white piece every 3 turns, the juubi will kill the piece which is the nearest to the black side end of the board every 3 turns.
Note: there can only be 1 piece of of each of this special pieces so it's imposible to have to obitos, narutos, etc.
Additional moves:
Becoming a juubi jin: to become a juubi jin either madara or obito piece have to wait 2 turns after the juubi was summoned and then they have to go and stand right next to the juubi, once they do it they become juubi jin and move like a king or like they originally moved, a juubi jin can only be taken down by naruto and sasuke pieces attacking at the same time. Also the juubi jin will kill the piece nearest to the end of the black side every 3 turns.
Casting infinite tsukoyoni: to cast infinite tsukuyomi at least 5 turns after becoming juubi jin must happen then the juubi jin must go to the kings original place and infinite tsukoyomi will be casted.
Ways to win:
The white pieces win when obito and madara are down at the same time, if either obito or madara is still alive, the piece down can be summoned with a pawn reaching the other end of the board.
The Black pieces win when naruto and sasuke are down at the same time, if either naruto or sasuke is still alive, the piece down can be summoned with a pawn reaching the other end of the board.
Also the black pieces win when IT is casted.
Well what do you guys think about my naruto chess variation?
i didnt want to add more customize pieces so it wouldnt be so complicated.
