Naruto characters versus zombies?

It just hit me as I was writing something for a class. I was just wondering, what if there were zombies in Naruto (not the Edo Tensei kind), where they suck chakra from the victims til they die (but they still bite you and try to eat you)? Would any of the characters survive that kind of apocalypse?

Fair enough, but don't the characters die if they run out of chakra?

Then that means Naruto would be the best character because of the nine tailed fox chakra and his shadow clones
