Sasuke's objective before has nothing to do with peace just pure destruction for vengeance but now he wants to achieve peace and naturally he will follow his ancestor's way which is Power.

The lust for power is in his blood bro , even if it contradicts his objectives.
Sasuke used Oro and Obito to gain more power and then betrayed them , same goes for the Bijuu and the fruit.
