Ashura's chakra was in Hashirama and gave him the ability to breath live into things... that's why he was the only one who could use mokuton.
Now Naruto have Ashura's chakra so it's only logical for him to be able to use it.
Also all the new yang power he have now could help.

would be cool, but probably not for a bunch of reasons:

1. that would mean that Ashura would have become part of Yamato/Tenzo/Kinoe/whatever after the cell transplant or he would be unable to use mokuton
2. even if that were somehow the key, Naruto can't use Suiton or Doton, which need to be manipulated simultaneously in order to form Mokuton

the only thing that might be possible would be that Ashura's predominantly Yang-oriented chakra supercharged Hashirama's Mokuton, like how Kurama's Yang chakra-half affected Yamato's Mokuton (which would also mean that Hashi's Mokuton now is weaker than before his death)

Oh thats true! Yet he may not use it because he will have a better ability. The mokuton is a combination of earth and water elements. He should be able to use all elements since he has absorbed all 9 bijuu.
